Season 50, Week 3
Edgar Roni Figaro
(Final Fantasy VI)

After felling a rival, devious king, proving himself at least his equal in intellect, Edgar must now face..., a green haired, sword wielding heroine? Talk about fate smiling upon him! Of course, Lyn is very much different from his own ally who shares the same description and is just as proud of a warrior, as Lyn is all about hitting hard and fast whereas Terra just explodes things, but hey, Edgar's not picky at all this season! Nor is his Noiseblaster or Air Anchor when it comes to decimating his foes. Sure, Lyn may be nobility, and it's not in his blood to harm a lady, but technically, he's not going to be the one harming her, as she's doing all the damage to herself!

As powerful of a warrior as she is, the greatest weapon Lyn has against -this- opponent is a set of legs that go all the way to Ilia. Nevertheless, that sort of tactic is likely beneath the noble lady of Caelin and Sacae. Instead, she'll be relying on her blindingly quick swordsmanship and nimble dodging to get around Edgar, much like any other opponent. The king of Figaro is in a tricky spot... if he fights her with his heavy armor, Lyn's sword knows how to exploit it. If he downgrades his armor, he's losing durability against a devastatingly powerful woman. Either way, Lyn gets to deal more damage than usual, and Edgar is left to say, "I swear, it isn't always like this."

Sometimes, battles can only be settled.. on a real battlefield!? Caerlin vs Figaro thus replaced the battle of roaming royals.

Strategy for Princess Lyndis:

Have mounted units attack to the north of the castle, take out the guards. Hector, Oswin, and Serra attack the south of the castle, killing the guards and occupying the castle before Edgar can mount a real defense. Assassins handle anyone on the outskirts who may have supportive magic, Lowen and his men hold the flanks to prevent a sneak attack. A truly balanced attack.

Strategy for King Edgar:

Move the castle, leisurely ride up to Lyndis's lightly guarded castle and Noiseblaster everyone into servitude. Unshockingly, the castle that can move turned out to be the one on the winning side. Poor Lyn.

Edgar Roni Figaro: 42
Lyn: 24

Lyn is fighting against Edgar poor edgar doesn't have a chance. He's simply to slow and Lyn is way to good at the one hit kill. Moral of the story Lyn wins the battle easily. Perhaps even the Heavy Crown.
