Season 48, Week 5
Heat
(Digital Devil Saga)

Heat has already been to the championship match and come home empty handed once before, and he’s trained hard to ensure that this time he comes away victorious. He’s already taken down the top ranked Fou Lu and ravaged some of the best, so even Sephiroth shouldn’t pose too much of a problem. After all, Sephiroth will have to spent most of his speed advantage taking out Heat’s tentacles while Heat wails on him mercilessly, and Heat does have a solid durability advantage. Besides, Heat wants to know what exactly One Winged Angels taste like... chicken, maybe?

The time for shameless self promotion is over. The Godlike championships are here, and now Sephiroth faces a real test. A demonic creature hell-bent on eating everything in front of him, complete with a twisted mental complex over a female demon? Someone who Sephiroth can relate to, at last! A shame about the beatdown headed Heat's way. All the defensive tricks in the world are worthless against the Angel's high-powered attacks. Strong physicals? Good magic? More than enough staying power? Yes to all of the above, along with another title for Godlike's greatest champion.

Monkeyfinger
Cognizant of heat's tendency to slow down when his tentacles can't hit anything, and leery of some of the whispers going around regarding what Heat's tentacles might do to him if they managed to... entagle him, Sephiroth pulled out his trump card against Heat and flew as high as he could above the battlefield without being ringouted.

Sure, it neutered his own offense as he lost the ability to land shadow flare and his merciless physical slashes. Sure, it caused him to get slowly worn down by Heat, who scorched him with unnerring blasts of fire magic while using his tentacles for what they were designed for: impenetrable defense. Sure, he eventually dropped out of the sky from countless accumulated wounds plus sheer exhaustion. But... uh... actually, there is no silver lining for the one winged angel here. Sephiroth screwed up and paid the price.

Heat: 24
Sephiroth: 22

Barubary
*Sigh* Heat beat Fou-Lu something Sephiroth has never done. So Heat wins...

No I voted Sephiroth... doesn't change the fact that heat wins
