Season 47, Week 5
TimeLord
(SaGa Frontier)

Faster than a speeding bullet, and able to leap tranny Magic Emperors in a single Overdrive powered bound, it's everyone's favorite master of Time! TL in the finals is as predicatable as his draws- he fought three PC's, none of whom had any defense against his overwhelming blitz. Timelord's fight for the title is a bit harder. Cloud of Darkness is a good deal tougher than Terra or Kyogre, possessing terrifying offense as well. TimeLeap and a thousand weak attacks when the speedy mystic can sneak in a double isn't the best plan in the world, but it's more than worth trying. If TL's defeated, so what? If nothing else, the Mystic Lord has nothing but time- he'll get another chance at glory sooner or later. Still, it shouldn't be too hard to just dissipate this cloud and claim victory.

The terrifying force from the Void has had a suitably impressive debut season. Now, she'll try to cap it off with a championship, and to do this, all she has to face is... a simple mage with no defence against Bad Breath? Even that Vile Tribe harlot was a more difficult fight, honestly. But the Cloud of Darkness has learned better than to be overconfident. TimeLord will have one heck of an opening assault waiting for her, so it's one she must steel herself to weather. Such a feat of durability is certainly within the reach of the Cloud of Darkness, however. Once that's over and done with, her double-acting will get past any defences the Mystic can muster against her, and either Bad Breath or her painful physical attacks will end him - and the Cloud's last obstacle to her Godlike title.

Meeplelard
Timelord, like any good master of controlling the temporal elements would, reviewed the matches his opponent was in.

"Hmm...that Bad Breath move is clearly her biggest threat, I'll have to end this fight quickly before she uses it," he thought to himself, watching her win against Celes...

Then he saw her next two matches and realized a short match wasn't exactly conceivable, even for someone like him. Seeing a direct victory being impossible he looked at his...less honorable indirect ones.

Magic Girl form? No, she's already female, and lacks its punch when the enemy isn't an Elven Emperor who has mastered the arcane arts.

Rewrite History to make a friend look better? Ok, while Cloud of Darkness is Edge bait, that won't exactly help in this scenario since the two have yet to meet each other...though Timelord does know that won't last long, it still has yet to happen.

Force Albedo to deal with his own troubled childhood self at the same time? No, that...would only have the reverse effects in this case, if any effect at all.

Unleash the Norgard Defense force?

...unsure how THAT option got into his bag of tricks, he considered it for a second. Then he considered the ups of it. Yeah, there's...no way this would lead to a win, but if nothing else, it would serve for some good entertainment! Also beats a simple forfeit...

"Lets get her guys!" Duran shouted charging the Cloud of Darkness head on as she charged a particle beam.

There were lots of explosions, screaming of both pain and delusions of grandeur, and somewhere you could see Alonso's spleen in the mix.

"So, wait, how did you get them to fight without being disqualified immediately?" The Black Knight asked Timelord.

"Oh, simple. Its the Norgard Defense Force; they're destined to fail. I even checked the future to make sure that this scenario couldn't go wrong! Besides, if they DO win, good for me, right?"

"And if I had agreed to fight alongside them?"

"...now we both know you aren't that stupid...and I know for a fact that even honor has its limits" Timelord said as the image of Gares flying over their heads several miles above them could be seen.

The end result? Timelord lost, as expected. However, this was only a technical loss. Why?

He didn't get hurt at all, despite his opponent being "Kill first in most painful way possible, never even consider the 'ask questions' option. He got entertainment watching the DL Idiot Squad futily and stubbornly attack her at the same time as that. And lastly, if anything, he got on the CLoud of Darkness' GOOD side, despite this, since by replacing himself with the NDF in an inevitable loss gave her that many more victims to slaughter all at once.

So in the end, everyone wins, right? Well, besides the NDF, but that's a given in all scenarios.

TimeLord: 15
Cloud of Darkness: 20

And with this victory, Cloud of Darkness returns the DL to nothingness.
