Season 47, Week 3
Zidane Tribal
(Final Fantasy IX)

Heh heh! Ol' Zidane's tricks have bagged him a Heavy win, just like that! Now, he's up against a far more interesting bird; Grahf, whose main threat comes in being immune to what status Zidane's got. Not to worry, though; Zidane's got some fair durability, and more importantly the speed and evasion to ensure this guy can't catch up to him! With a steady application of attacks, he'll wear this old guy down - and if Grahf has enough issues hitting him, Trance comes out, and bye-bye Grahf. Hell, even Thievery should be able to wear the guy down easily enough, after all. Zidane's gotten this far - what's one more opponent, after all? Zidane doesn't need power - he's got all he needs!

Dost thou desire power? Many fell prey to Grahf's siren song, and for that, they paid a very high price. However, none as high as one who dares face the masked mystery in battle, and this pathetic Genome thief is about to know the true horror that tangling with the Executioner symbolizes. With his mighty fist techniques and raw energy waves, Grahf will make mincemeat of Zidane. The thief, known solely for his status attacks, will find himself absolutely unable to do anything about the incoming onslaught against him. Outsped, overpowered and outwitted, Tribal's sole hope will be praying for a merciful, quick death. And even that smallest of mercies, Grahf might not be willing to give him.

DragonKnight Zero
Zidane was having a good day. Edge and Yuri had invited him to look over their photo collection and have even made him a few copies as a souvenir. This was how he spent his morning.

In the afternoon, Garnet took him with her to visit the Alma Kiman compound. Much to his surprise, they allowed him to stay. Granted, he had to remain with Garnet, keep all body parts to himself, and wouldn't allow any cameras, audio recorders, or TimeRecord spells but it still was a surprise. The women did allow him to witness an orgy, the memories of which will remain with him for a long time.

Garland treated Zidane to dinner and not once badgered him about serving as an Angel of Death and all that. They went partying and barhopping afterwards. Ghaleon was even nice enough to buy Zidane a beer instead of heaping on abuse. The late night was spent with Garnet. What went on is between the two of them though there's a rumor of strip Twister.

Zidane had such a good day that he'd totally forgotten about his match the same day and lost by failure to appear.

What? Why would people be nice to Zidane?

"Dost thou desire the power?" Ring a bell?

Does anyone really want to deal with a berserk monkeyboy fueled by Grahf's plot powers? Given how mocked and hated Zidane is, he'd not resist the temptation. Really, being nice to him is a small price to pay compared to how much it would take to put him down if he'd shown up to face Grahf.
