Season 46, Week 4
Imoen
(Baldur's Gate series)

Haven’t we already seen this match? A poor pure physical fighter goes against Imoen, expecting her to be capable of the pathetic tricks of other Light mages, only to land on their asses. After all, Imoen’s Stoneskin leaves her invulnerable to physical attacks for several turns, meaning that if a fighter can’t kill her straight-off, they’ll have trouble on their hands. Of course, Tai Ho is more reknown for his sailing skills than his fighting skills, and without a drop of magic to his name, he’ll be the third victim to Stoneskin. Now, if only Imoen can develop her voodoo skills enough to ensure that pesky old man mage doesn’t win the other Light match…

It's a fisherman's life for Tai Ho as he sails into the semifinals. He wishes he could have this much success on the professional fishing circuit (it's not fair when your opponents are part fish!), but he's not complaining. The prize money for getting to this round will more than cover his latest debts at chinchorin, though. He faces off against Imoen, who is famous for turning her skin to stone to ward off physical attacks. It'll be a problem for Tai Ho for sure, but one shove off the deck and Imoen will be sinking to the briny deep, never to be heard from again! One more round, and Tai Ho will reel in the whopper that is the RPGDL Light Championship.

Monkeyfinger
Miguel could be seen glancing at the arrow-riddled body of Tai Ho in the DL infirmary and nodding sympathetically.

Children of an ancient god of murder beating up random fishermen: It's more common than you think, in the RPGDL.
