Season 46, Week 2
Poco
(Arc the Lad Collection)

Drumming up a whole new beat, the song of Poco, musician-turned-runaway soldier, is about to resound higher and higher in the Duelling League arena! After an absence of over thirty seasons, this bonafide musical master is ready to put his vast instrumental knowledge and his intuitive tempo to march all over the Middle division. His opponent, the circus girl Peppita Rosetti, would probably make a neat addition to his show, but alas, it is not to be. First, he will have to fight. However, this shouldn't be hard: with his Mind Buster spell, which depletes an enemy's MP reserves instantly, he can end this match in a single move, as Peppita becomes unable to fight when bereft of either HP or MP. In case this doesn't work, his healing and trumpeting should handle things nicely instead. In the end, the walking fanfare should speak far louder than fancy acrobatic stunts, and Poco will get to move on.

Once again, “it’s show time!” It’s been a while since Peppita has been able to star on the stage that is the DL arena, but she’s back and as ever is ready to dazzle, awe, delight, amuse and entertain the audience. This time the show she is putting on involves showing off her wide array of damage and skills pitted against those of the rather limited options of the opponent. Peppita’s here to show how her damage smashes through Poco’s health and defences, how her higher speed gives her the upper hand in the fight to wow and awe the crowds, how to do some -real- MP damage, how her attack buffing, healing and mp regeneration humble Poco as a support unit, and how her statuses mock Poco’s pitiful status hit rates. Whether it be by Freezing, Chaos or Instant Death, this may well be Peppita’s greatest performance yet, as she shows Poco how you put on a real performance.

Poco may have won the fight, but Peppita's circus just recruited its newest musician. I mean, really, do you think Peppita would let someone who can play -that many- different instruments just walk off after trouncing her? No way! She uses her pushy nature to coax repayment out of the meek musician! Poco may be too busy performing to participate in his next match!
