Ah, the long- haired, elf-like Magus, of a type commonly known as a bishounen. Magus' PC form is totally outmatched, against someone with instant death immunity and high physical power...but, thankfully, he has more than just that. His obvious option is to use his boss form: His elemental protection totally rules out Scias' best weapon, forcing him to resort to the slightly inferior Slicer against Magus' incredible defense (... the arguably legal, rare drop, usable-by-two-in-a-cast-of-six Slicer...),or the significantly inferior Firangi, making this a long match of constant counters against Scias's attacks, and a large amount of healing for Scias... |

Scias might be in a pickle here, as many don't consider his Slicer to be a kosher equip. Still, even without it, he's a strong dueller. Shining Blade will hurt Magus no matter what barriers he hides behind, and Scias is strong enough to keep from being unduly hurt while the barrier's still up. And when it's down, oh Scias will have fun with Magus, as a Shining stroke will be more than enough to take down a scion of Zeal. |
ultima287@yahoo.com Barriers barriers oh my. All Magus has to do is sit back and cast Fire2 over and over, hitting the water-elemental Scias' weak point until he runs out of AP healing. With no natural fire elemental spells, and ShiningBlade's damage being drastically reduced by Magus's barrier, Scias has little way to score solid hits against Magus's much higher boss HP.
