Season 45, Week 3
Nate Nanjo
(Persona)

BoltX? That's a laugher. Rub? Hah! Chill? Nice try. All of Jade's tricks have been stripped away from him, thanks to Nate's magical immunity. All Jade's left with is his physical attack, which scares no man, especially not the heir to the Nanjo fortune! A businessman must always look for opportunities, and this is just perfect. Jade, while a durable foe, can do nothing to stop Nate's spell-slinging assault. A Light All to start the battle and Jade will be unable to do anything as his health slowly whittles away. Even if Jade were to land a hit or two, Nate can respond with his fully restorative Elixer spell. It is terribly unfortunate for Jade to have to fight an opponent such as Nate Nanjo, but alas, the business world can be quite cruel.

What a marvelous run from an oversized bug! After winning his second Godlike championship in Season 44 and crushing all who stand before him like insects, Jade has successfully gotten his revenge on the bug haters! But now that he’s proven his superiority with twenty wins, he just crushes all you lay before him with lightning for giggles. Sadly, once again, he won't be able spam his signature charring BoltX due to his opponent's magic reflection powers. Well, it doesn’t really matter. Jade hitting someone in the face isn't quite as effective (nor showy) as frying them, but it gets the job done. And with massive HP, Jade can outlast a pesky healer. Speed Racer will never know the freight train that hit him!

Edge was suitably impressed, as any person who had any shreds of intelligence. Zidane had utterly wrecked three matches, pissed off at least two Godlike champions, the entire Chrono Cross crew (who weren't going to appreciate having Xorn dropped on them by the person who hired them), Garnet, Rubicant. All that and he still had his 'deal' with Ghaleon to fulfill. Everyone who was watching and tagging along during this was also suitably impressed. How could Edge top this? Zidane was so confident, and didn't at all interfere as Nate slowly beat Jade down. All he did was jeer both fighters and taunt Edge. His taunting had next to no visible effect- while Edge *was* impressed, he didn't look like a man who was worried about losing a bet.

It irritated him a great deal in fact. Zidane went to go get a hold of Ghaleon to bribe him so he could beat up the smarmy Ninja Prince. To his delight, Ghaleon waived any fee and agreed crush Edge merely for the joy of it. Ghaleon did in fact completely beat Edge down- a Hell Wave followed by a physical left Edge a bleeding pool of flesh on the floor.

Nate had just finished off Jade when Ghaleon had finished up slaughtering Edge. Zidane left the arena laughing, sure that Edge would be unable to match the chaos and trouble he had caused.

Zidane was right. Sorta.
