Season 44, Week 4
Kefka
(Final Fantasy VI)

So Kefka finds himself in the semifinals yet again. He is no stranger to victory, as Havok Wing's insane damage will maul damn near anything and anyone who gets in his way. This includes upstart Tales bosses who think they can possibly make up for their hilarious early failure by defeating one of the highest Godlikes out there. And if Van thinks that his Mystic Artes will help him win, he's in for a bit of a surprise. Kefka has one of those too - he doesn't need to call it anything fancy, thanks, just "double Havok Wing" will suffice. But just as important as his best attack in this fight are his other options. With lesser spells and a solid normal physical, he's perfectly capable of chipping and smashing right through Van's limits.

There is no battle more epic than a battle-hardened warrior facing off against a dark, demented angel. Van has defeated all of his foes thus far, but this is different. Playtime, as they say, is over. The fight against Kefka won't be a pushover - it'll be a cataclysmic battle, a match of true Godlikes. Kefka will attempt to strike down Van as fast and hard as he can. But Van can take copious amounts of punishment, up to and including the dreaded Havok Wing. And when he's taken enough damage, Van can prepare his dreaded Mystic Artes, the overwhelming power of which will punch through Kefka like wet tissue paper. Facing that sort of damage, the demented angel will plummet down and Van will advance towards the finals.

So yeah, Kefka has wings. Van doesn't. Van fights on a flying island. That's right, think this one over a bit.

I hear impacts suck, especially after being tossed a few miles away from a particularly potent Havok Wing.

Kefka: 39
Vandesdelca Musto Fende: 17

Theirs not doubt in my mind Kefka will beat Van and then lose to Jade

Its the classic trap... damn shame
