Season 5, Week 2
Fujin
(Final Fantasy VIII)

Fujin faces a tough fight this match, but one that she can easily win if her opponent makes even the slightest misstep. If Silent Lake comes into play, Chris will find herself at the wrong end of a Sai, and Fujin can easily crush her. If Chris tries a game of attritrition, Fujin can play that game herself. And if Chris chooses not to use the Lake, she'll eventually have a chance to either Haste herself, or trap Chris in a torrent of Sais that will empty the Silver Maiden of her rune charges and give Fujin the victory. The Disciplinary Committee's most dangerous member is in a for a good fight regardless.

Chris Lightfellow is renowned for three things: her beauty, her brains, and her fearsome skills as a dueler. However, the first won't be a factor in this match against Fujin, and the last will only get her so far in this match. Fujin can trap her into a healing loop with Sai, or status her out if she doesn't use Silent Lake. What Chris can do is use her mind. Predicting what Fujin will do is key here- one tiny slipup for Chris will cost her the match.

RC
Chris likes Silent Lake first thing in battle. Fujin likes to cast Sai first thing in battle.

After Silent Lake, Chris can't heal herself to full. After Sai, Fujin doesn't need to do much more than poke someone to win.

Fujin: 13
Chris Lightfellow: 6

Dark Holy Elf
As was her trademark, Chris Lightfellow opened the match with a casting of Silent Lake.

"FOOL," said Fujin, preparing to throw her pinwheel into a Sai attack. "There is more to me than MAGIC!"

Chris watched the pinwheel approach, then calmly deflected it with her sword at the last second. "And," Fujin heard Chris say as the knight's sword entered her, "There is more to me than Silent Lake."

Sir Alex
Yes, I'm voting Fujin over Chris, despite not playing S3. I know Chris well enough. Either tell me how she can beat "Sai every turn till Chris doesn't heal, then kill", or, in the words of Super, bite me.
