Season 43, Week 3
Asellus
(SaGa Frontier)

How amusing, the self proclaimed king of perverts is the next challenge in Asellus' path? Well, she'd hate to break it to Edge, but she's already dispatched a far mightier pervert then the ninja prince quite some time ago, in the form of the Charm Lord Orlouge. And much like Orlouge, Prince Eblan seems to be well versed enough in the ways of women to not fall to Asellus' fascinating ways. Very well, she'll merely have to outfight him the old fashioned way, with her skillful sword techniques and insidious mystic skills. If her Mystic Sword skill doesn't manage to kill the ninja outright, he'll be hard pressed to defend himself against her many tricks, such as the lethal Assassinate or the physical stopping Glass Shield.

A list of things that scare Edge: Shion Uzuki: The musical, Orlandu with a hangover, and Zidane in a fuku. Notably absent from this list: green haired bisexual swordwomen. It's not quite a blessing from the heavens to have to face the Mystic trained Asellus, but it's close enough. No sleep protection? Relying on charm, a status the roguish prince actually doesn't fear? A cute friend into experimentation? Edge's biggest challenge will be keeping his mind on the match and not fantasizing about his opponent. Image would shut down Asellus's best physicals, if she even got a chance to use them. A swipe of the claw, a hail of fumas, and victory shall be Edge's! Now if he can only convince Rydia to stay away from the fight so he can practice his charms...

Gatewalker
Asellus was an opponent that Edge had been looking forward to drawing for a long time. Is it not every pervert's dream to run into a kinky bisexual woman(and lets not even mention Edge sorta having a thing for green hair, on top of this)? He knew that he had a good chance of being able to take this match in style, all he had to do was play it cool, lay on that patented Eblan charm, and see what he can manage to get out of this. Pausing for one last moment to make sure he was looking his sharpest, the ninja prince knocked on Asellus's door...

---

Edge was staggering into the arena, his hair a mess, his clothes on backwards and his mask hanging half attached off his face. He seemed like he could barely stand, but still somehow managed to drag himself into his side of the ring, and slumped against the wall.

The crowd looked rather confused at first. Then someone mentioned that he looked in such bad shape, but didn't have a scratch on him. Then someone else mentioned that his opponent hadn't shown up yet at all. Then there was a flurry of speculation. Did he? He could, he was Edge Eblan, he could do anything. But would he? Nah, no way. But maybe...

The wild whispering was cut off by the loud clearing of a throat, as all eyes turned to the green haired woman who made the noise. Stepping down into the ring, Rydia leveled a glare of pure malice at Edge, though her tone was frighteningly devoid of emotion, "Well, it looks like you've been enjoying yourself."

Pulling himself to his feet, Edge started talking, and fast, "Wait, wait, Rydia, honey, I can..."

"You can explain?" the caller's tone had taken an acidic edge as one hand was clenching and unclenching in anger, "You can always explain, Edge. You are the undisputed grand master of excuses. But frankly, I'm a little sick of them."

"No, no, it's not like..."

"And more to the point, so is Bahamut."

A loud *THOOM* cut off any further argument from the ninja as Rydia turned on her heel and stalked out of the arena, while the judges could only shrug and award the now charred Edge the match on grounds of interference.

---

Rydia was pissed. Not bothering to knock, she threw open the door to Asellus's room and stormed in, glaring at the lounging mystic. "Asellus, there's something that you and I need to discuss."

Not even rising from her seat, Asellus just slowly smiled at her unexpected guest...

---

Rydia staggered down the hallway, her hair a mess, her clothes on backwards and only one shoe still on, the other nowhere to be seen. She seemed like she could barely stand, but still managed to push open the door to her room and stumble in to collapse on her bed.

At the sound of a throat being cleared, she looked to the side to see Edge wrapped in bandages in his own bed. Turning a deep shade of red, Rydia muttered, "You're off the hook, and we never speak of today again. EVER."

"Am I at least allowed to tell Yuri?"

"Oh hell no."

"Can I at least think about it?"

"...you will anyway, so go ahead."

---

Back in Asellus's room, the green haired mystic looked up with a tired smile and a lazy wave as White Rose returned.

The gentle princess chuckled softly as she gave Asellus an amused look, "Well, it looks like you've been enjoying yourself."

Asellus's smile broadened, "Let me tell you all about it..."
