Season 43, Week 1
Avalon
(Legaia: Duel Saga)

Surely this a joke. Avalon facing off against such an inferior form of evil? The great Mystic who fused with a power beyond comprehension will not stand for such heresy. Of course, with such power at his disposal, Avalon will be sure to let Dark Force feel the full effect of his wrath. Avalon may not have as much sheer HP as his opponent, but with his special ability to halve all damage, Dark Force will find it hard, indeed, to kill the Infinite One. And to make matters easier still, Avalon’s powerful Silver Scythe and Lightning Purge will be ideal at cutting through Dark Force. After all, until he proves that Mystics are the truly superior race, Avalon can not rest. And what better way to prove that, than by achieving a championship?

The incarnation of all evil in Algol hungers for fresh souls and havoc since his last appearance in the arena - making this quite a timely return. And what better way to quench an appetite for annihilation than by crushing the feeble warriors in the Dueling League? Certainly, this Avalon won't be the one to stop Dark Force's evil ambitions. While Avalon is powerful and durable, strange similarities to an evil version of Sonic the Hedgehog aside, he plays the same game as Dark Force - and, as the mightier servant of Darkness, Dark Force is simply better at both durability and damage. In this fight of sheer endurance and raw power, few could ever hope to match Dark Force's brutality. And poor "Evil Sonic" will just be a road bump before the creeping chaos.

For all that Dark Force is a being of supreme might, able to enshroud the entire solar system of Algol in neverending despair and horror, there are a few things darkness simply cannot fight. He is aware of that, of course.

However, he wasn't aware that the Chaos Emeralds were among those. Avalon, taking advantage of his uncanny likelihood to Sonic, yanked them out from Knuckles and sent Dark Force into the depths of a random RPG chest with them. And that was match.

However, the hapless adventurers of Grandia 2 now have found a new reason to grind since Dark Force began felling the trigger-happy wayfarers, who have gotten soft from fighting monsters as incompetent as the ones dwelling in their world. Dark Force himself doesn't seem to mind.
