Season 42, Week 4
Sir Leopold
(Dragon Quest 8)

World-destroying evil power. Is there anything better out there that man's best friend could possibly ask for? The fiendish canine Sir Leopold has had his share of dark power granted to him by virtue of Rhapthorne's staff, and he is always out looking for more to push himself further. Largo takes the name "Black Lion", but before the might of a true beast, this lowly human will be reduced to a whimpering mess of blood. Largo's ability to put on some pain may be impressive, but he only will use it a fair ways into the fight. The black dog of doom has no such limitations on his double-acting mayhem, and will not hesitate to put this advantage to good use, smashing through Largo's defenses with ease. A few good strikes and a killing bite to the neck should be all it takes for evil to triumph over emo once again.

The terrible visage of the imposing mercenary God-General Largo is a true sight to behold, and he's not about to let a stray dog stand in his way this week. While the self-styled "Doglike" might hold sway over some of the weaker denizens of Heavy, Largo is far from weak. Quicker despite armor, and much stronger, Largo can easily whip this dog with a few scythe strikes. Of course, with his complete mastery over the art of fire, Largo's much more punishing abilities - including the deadly Savage Flame and Blazing Talon combo strikes - will leave the dog burnt to a crisp. All of this builds up to his final assault, a culmination of fire and brimstone with the deadly Mystic Arte, Brimstone Tempest. The stalwart mercenary shall come out victorious in this fight - little can stand up to his punishing strikes for long.

Largo was not having a good month.

First, he'd accidentally cut off a woman's top.

Secondly, he'd been propositioned by the local perverts group to become their new leader, despite Zidane and Sten's protests.

Thirdly, women were now avoiding him in the hallways.

And now, they were making him fight a dog.

Not something to further his goals in life.

Not something to improve the world in a more shallow way.

Just beating a dog to death.

Could his honor be insulted more?

"You know, Largo, it's even less honorable to lose to a dog." Legretta noted calmly.

"...If I didn't know you better, I'd swear you came here just to mock me." Largo said sternly, staring at Legretta's back as she looked out Largo's hopital room window.

A sound suspiciously like a giggle was heard, from Legretta's direction.

Must have been the birds.

The "birds" that had been in the Duelling League perhaps a little too long.

If you don't think a few seasons isn't too long, you haven't been here long enough.
