Season 5, Week 1
Delita Hyral
(Final Fantasy Tactics)

Delita Hyral, Holy Knight and seeker of power. He'll be seeking something that's familiar to him in this match, power and glory. Delita's Holy Sword skillset is a powerful tool to bring about what he desires. His starting Bracer gives him a nice boost to power, and his heavy plate mail will protect him from the worst of Kain's jumps. With random status attacks from his Holy Sword skills, Delita could put away Kain any time.

Facing a fellow warrior who betrayed and used his childhood friend, there's a certain kinship between the two of them, or not... As Delita managed to pull it off and got both the crown and the girl, whereas Kain's happier world saw him being one the few males in his cast who didn't get a crown, and the girl went to his buddy. So, Kain's going into this match with a bit of a chip on his shoulder, and he means to try and make good. His Dragoon Armour gives him the second highest defence in his cast, which will weaken Delita's abilities, and his Jump command will mean that he'll be able to make his hits count for more, while denying Delita a good number of his turns. The only real problem here is that Delita can nullify his Holy Lance with the right equipment, though, that just means that Kain will use the Gungnir instead, and take advantage of an even weaker foe.

Kain had arrived on the field early in order to best see the terrain and get used to it in order to jump and land better. After all, he knew this Delita would be a tough fight, and that he'd need to spend as little time on the ground as possible if he wanted to win. He hadn't been there for too long however when Delita himself arrived, teleporting in in a shower of shimmering blue light. He was clad in a long dark cloak that obscured his face and most of everything save his rather distinctive gold armour. Kain snorted at the fact that his foe was trying to look cool and dark for this battle, but he knew he still had the superior dark look, and so let his foe try and best him.

The two shared no words as they prepared for battle. Kain constantly checking out the terrain, occasionally obsessing over nothing to try and psych out his opponent. Delita, though, just stood there the entire time, looking over the battlefield, not moving at all. Kain found this somewhat unnerving, but refused to let him get the edge. After all, everyone knew what a sneaky bastard the Ivalician King was. And that was how things stood as the battle began. Kain immeadiatly launched into the air as Delita... stood there. The dragoon looked for any tricks or any sign of dodging or an attack, but none came as he landed the attack, his spear going right through a chink in the armour. The spear hit home, and Kain's world went white, then dark.

Delita waited a while and then took off his Vanish Mantle. The decoy he had teleported in had been a success, Kain being kind enough to hit a suit of armour packed with high explosives with all of his force. And the dragoon was now lying crumpled on the ground for his efforts, while Delita had a date with the quarterfinals in two weeks.
