Season 5, Week 1
False Althena
(Lunar 2: Eternal Blue)

The woman known only as "False Althena" takes the definition of Godlike a little further than most of her fellow fighters. But the false goddess imitates more than just her Creator's looks... she has loads of power at her disposal as well! Assuming she's had time to let her head settle since receiving Zophar's power, she should be able to concentrate on what she does best this fight: damage, and lots of it, FAST. She'll need to press her offence against the stat-boosting Mewtwo, since despite her good HP she's not built for long fights, unlike the psycho kitty. If all else fails, the false goddess has a poison attack to fall back on, but she's probably doomed if she needs to resort to that. Still, with her devastating ray attack which overkills any PC in her game, she may need to resort to surprisingly little to win.

Mewtwo's giant psychic lasers from the anime aren't allowed, but this is but a minor setback to him. Fake Althena, you see, is all about damage, more damage, and some stat boosts. With ludicrously high stats in all areas and his Psychic/Amnesia/Barrier/Recover skillset, Mewtwo outclasses his first round opponent at her own game...

DragoonJay
There's one problem with the trademark Psy/Bar/Am/Rec moveset - Mewtwo only gets ten possible attacks, unless the battle goes long enough to use up all his PP, in which case he's doomed anyway.

There's also one problem with False Althena - she can't stall and power herself up beyond her already formidable abilities. That's something that Mewtwo can do, much to FA's chagrin.

Dark Holy Elf
As powerful as False Althena is, she's not the most mentally stable of villainesses. What a shame for her, then, that Mewtwo's psionics specialise in messing with their target's head...
