Season 5, Week 1
Yuri Volte Hyuga
(Shadow Hearts Series)

Seraphic Radiance- For the Children. Simple, effective, and brutal. A move that crushes a final boss in no more than three or four hits. A move that makes gods cry, and angels sing. A move that Yuri will rely on to crush Myria. He'll use his trademark FtC attack to blast off most of Myria's HP in a few shots, then he'll rely on his powerful physical and outstanding evasion to laugh at whatever else Myria can do. It's just a matter of time before Yuri takes his place as a godlike champion, and he's going to try and do it in his first season.

Myria just can't catch a break. First a Ryu comes and beats her up in Obelisk, and then a Ryu comes and stops her actual good work in Station Myria, and now she's fighting Yuri Hyuga. Granted, Myria doesn't find Yuri nearly as imposing as most of her colleagues do. Her massive speed will make him play catch up instead of vice versa, and Holocaust will be a lovely little bomb to drop upon the Harmonixer. And, of course, Myria has the lovely overly obscene end-boss HP to play with, which will allow her to outlast Yuri's MP-costly attacks which, unfortunately for Yuri, won't be enough to destroy the goddess. Perhaps this time, someone will be her friend... or else she'll have to beat them up.

Dark Holy Elf
Ah, Yuri. So broken. Best skillset in his game by a country mile, and game-best in so many stats... HP, SP, Strength, Speed, Evasion... And game-worst in MP. Which means he has trouble dealing massive-HP game-bosses, due to his limited supply of-

Wait, did somebody stay massive-HP game-bosses? Sorry, Yuri; better luck next time.

Before the match, Yuri was speaking to REAL Roger Bacon.

Roger Bacon: It would be advisable that you don't fight with this one, Yuri, she is far stronger than any opponent you've faced thus far.
Yuri: I've defeated Gods before, how much harder can it be to defeat a Goddess? She'll wish she never faced me!
Roger Bacon: You don't seem to understand, this one not only has incredible amounts of power, but she also doesn't breed for destruction and...
Yuri: Look, Old Man, I'll do things my own way, you here?

The Match started, and Yuri Opened by Transforming into Seraphic Radiance. Myria, stood there in her Little Crying Girl form, for some reason, instead of her later Angelic Form. People were more suprised when she didn't transform into that big Demonic Banshee or that giant Ugly Hydra thing. No, something was definatly not right here.

Yuri...didn't mind. He decided to open up with For Everyone, just in case. Myria still sat there, not doing anything, apparnetly crying.

Yuri: Damn it! FIght me already!
Myria: Please, I haven't done anything, why must you fight me?
Yuri: Damn it! I'll just kill you now, after you, last Seasons God Like Champ is next! anyways, For the Children!

Yuri had made one fatal mistake. Not REALIZING that Myria was indeed a Child in this form, she shrugged off the blast with absolutly no difficulty. Yuri was stunned, and with almost all his resources gone, he didn't know what to do. SUDDENLY, out of nowhere, Myria spoke again...

Myria: Will you be my Friend?

Yuri...Freaked out. After all, his moves have Lame Names, he expected 'Will you be my friend' to be some uber attack itself, and he ran from the Stadium giving up. Everybody laughed at Yuri as he ran, and watched as Myria turned into her Angelic Form and said

Myria: That strategy seems to work against anything that's not a Dragon, I'm suprised it work so well this time though? Oh well, time to start preparing to take down the Dragon next round.
