Season 41, Week 2
Kharg
(Arc the Lad 4)

Kharg's sword and wind powers are fresh and raring to go! After a long, unjust break from the Arena, Kharg returns to attempt to climb to the top of Heavy and claim a championship. His wind-based powers are perfect for shredding a mere glorified butterfly like Zera Valmar. What can a religious nutjob moth do against searing tornadoes and Wind Blade Fury? Even if Zera starts throwing some lightning around, it's a losing battle against someone as tough and sturdy as Kharg. If worst comes to worst, he can summon the Big Owl to splatter Zera before he can even react. No mere butterfly is going to keep Kharg down in the arena!

Zera Valmar was the Pope of the church under the good god Granas, and all was flowery and joyous in the world of Grandia 2. However, after a while, all of the evil Valmar's body parts started manifesting, and the world turned to darkness. The man behind all of these terrible events? Why, the Pope himself! SHOCK! What a disturbingly clever ruse! Regardless, now the evil god/pope is going to kick some pansy good guy ass, starting with the ever valiant moron Kharg. A few strikes of the vicious lightning Zap! spells and we will have one very toasty hero and a dark god, bent on dominating Heavy, taking his first step to victory.

The power of Valmar and godhood. Control of an entire church, with an army of loyal demon followers, some of whoom are so loyal as to throw themselves on a bed of swords just to kill Zera's enemies. The almighty power of thunder in the form of Gadzap, and the Breath of the Gods, giving Zera speed, power, defense. The overwhelming strength and power of Valmar, so displayed by Melfice, was about to be put on display in the arena. There was no hope for a boy with a sword and dreams of leading humanity to a better place.

There's one thing that Zera, in all of his power and knowledge and control, couldn't deal with. A problem that had so befuddled churches over the years and universes.

"You don't exist. Religion is a LIE created by Deimos trash to hold down humans. The power of humanity will overcome such evil!" Yes. Zera Valmar had ran into the worst enemy of pretty much everyone- an angsty teenager.

Kharg opted for midnight black head to toe clothing instead of his usual garb. Even his blade was wrapped in black. The half human, half deimos racist guardian of humanity didn't -believe- in Zera and his nonsense. So much so that he demanded that Zera prove his divinity with miracle of any stripe. Otherwise he'd demand that the judges DQ Zera for being a fraud. Zera turned into the form graced to him by the power of Valmar, and turned into a giant floating butterfly. Then the Big owl crashed into Zera, crushing him into a fine paste.

Adding insult to crippling injury and defeat, Kharg walked over to Zera's crushed body and spent the next seventeen hours ranting at him why he didn't exist and why his religion was a sham.

Kharg: 24
Zera Valmar: 18
