The tormented Dragoon returns to Middle, seeking to make waves like no other spearman has before! And he faces quite a wall this week - in the figurative sense. The young guard girl Cecile may look scrawny and weak, but she's nearly immune to physical strikes... when they can even hit her. This may look like just the kind of fight Kain loathes, but he won't give up! With Jump, he can avoid Cecile's spear strikes and attack safely, and the Dragoon himself has a significant speed edge over the oddly agile kid. As such, this will be a difficult match, but, being more experienced and secure in his power, Kain can make it happen. HE CAN BEAT A LITTLE GIRL EVEN IF IT COSTS HIM HIS LIFE. |

Isn't this a cute picture? Sweet, innocent little Kain going up against the devil spearman herself, Cecile. Of course, she has absolutely no plans of going easy on him! She's had plenty more time to train with her spear since her adventures with the True Rune bearers ended, so Kain will be sweating in his little jumping boots whenever she swings. Speaking of jumping, it's true Cecile's small form can't jump in heavy armor yet (she's growing as fast as she can!), but it still means Kain better be used to the sound "tink," as that's all his attacks will be doing to this three foot-six child of death. Cecile hopes to prove to Kain why he'll do no good in Middle. Can she succeed? Knowing Kain, absolutely! |
Taishyr Kain may have been the original. Kain may have been the first to perfect his art. But against someone who picked up all the tools needed from Edgar to do it herself, what option do you have? Yes. He did the unthinkable. "...Why. WHY. WHY?!?" Cecil thundered at Kain, who simply grinned. "Hey. We cleared it with the guys from Bahamut Lagoon, and Cecile with those Dragoon Boots, Edgar and Cid all decided to join up! Lan... Lan... LANCER!" And then Cecil stabbed him. Well.
