Season 40, Week 1
Anita
(Suikoden II)

So after her rival's gotten matches left and right, Anita's just now preparing for her first arena battle? Bah! Well, she'll just have to show everyone by getting something Valeria has yet to get: namely, a win. It shouldn't be too hard with Rutee as her first opponent. A simple thief who hears voices in her head? Let's see her try to puncture this mercenary's shield and armor. Meanwhile, Anita's Falcon Rune will easily fillet the little girl, and teach her a thing or two about going to battle wearing clothes more suitable in a house of ill repute.

Well, this is a laugher. After such a long absence, Rutee Katrea certainly deserved a fitting return match - to put a stop to Atwight's infuriating smugness if nothing else. However, what the young Lens hunter gets is...a fight against an armor-clad trollop. Anita's Falcon Rune is pointless against Atwight's blessed healing, which should be more than enough to handle this loser. Well, a few Bloody Roses probably won't hurt, either, but Rutee probably shouldn't spend any more than this floozy deserves. Which is to say nearly nothing.

The girl with the Swordian and the other swordgirl made their entrances to the arena. Except where there the other swordgirl was supposed to be, there instead stood a deranged old swordsman with silver hair.

"I shall not be mocked anymore! I will show the Duelling League proper the true power of a warrior, his incomparably sharp blade and the legendary Swallow Rune! Behold and despair, as -"

Rutee knocked him out with a single punch. Who let Genshu in anyway, and where was Anita? The jury, consisting of Juan, Dias and Rei simply shrugged and ruled Rutee to advance, stating "Well, that does qualify as a win of some sort."
