Season 40, Week 1
Guy
(Fire Emblem: The Blazing Sword)

You can't hurt what you can't hit. The Sword Saint of Sacae returns for another round of combat, seeking to win yet more battles in Heavy. He squares off against a grizzled veteran of the Suikoverse, Flik. While the magic wielding Suikoden swordsman may concern some heavies, and with due cause, Guy barely breaks a sweat. While his thunder magic is powerful, it can be evaded- something Guy excels at. One dodge dooms Flik to death, as does a single critical from the speedy swordmaster. Chopping Flik to dogmeat with a Killer Edge isn't all too sporting, but winning is what matters.

After an unseasonably absence, the Blue Lightning rides to battle again! Revolutionary come mercenary Flik is no stranger to battle, but the Sacean style of swordplay is enough to give anyone pause; after all, no swordsman from the world of Suikoden strikes so hard or so accurately. While testing Odessa against Guy's blade might be tempting, it's clearly less valuable here than Flik's trusty Lightning Rune. Counting on his own speed to get the jump on Guy and using his shield to fullest extent, Flik should be able to weather Guy's assault and end the battle in one or two decisive blasts.

The end result of this match, in retrospect, was obvious. Guy smashed Flik around, using his obviously superior swordskills to batter Flik down. Then, as the final slice was about to be made, Guy's sword raised...

...and promptly got him electrocuted by a humongous bolt of lightning. As Guy toppled over, Flik shook his head. "Laws of nature are such a convenient thing, some days..."
