Season 39, Week 4
Fou-Lu
(Breath of Fire IV)

Two Divine villains face off in the Godlike Semifinals, but they couldn't be more different! While Xorn represents the cliche evil god that gets released only at the end of the game and wants everything destroyed, Fou-lu represents the well mannered, benevolent ruler who happens to just decide that his power was abused and wants to right such wrongs by destroying the main characters. Either way, they're facing off this season, and to the God Emperor's favor, Xorn uses mostly physical attacks, the same thing Fou-lu just shrugs off. A simple slugfest, but one that is in favor of everyone's favorite Tyrant Dragon and his continued ascension to another Godlike title.

Hope? Banished! Love? Demolished! Yes, Xorn’s plan to remake the DL in his dark image is one step closer to fruition. Now he faces off against the dragon lord Fou-Lu, and he will not rest until his new foe’s hopes, dreams and body lie shattered on the ground. While Xorn’s trademark painful physical is ineffective against Fou-Lu, Thunderclap will wreak havoc upon the not so magically tanky dragon. Of course, Xorn’s massive speed advantage will mean that Fou-Lu will eating many painful spells, while Xorn’s solid durability will ensure Fou-Lu will need many hits to defeat him. With such advantages, Xorn’s hopes of destroying the hopes of others will surely come to be!

Two gods.

The Endless and the Fallen Guardian.

A clash that could shatter a world.

Who could possibly survive, when these two come together?

A calamity was about to strike the world, and there was nothing to be done about it...

---

"...um." Dhoulmagus, from his judges box seat, concisely stated. "What the hell are those two doing?"

Lambda shrugged. "Playing Monopoly."

---

It was to be a long, boring, tedious match.

Fou-Lu quickly gained controll of Boardwalk and Park Place early on, however, ultimately sealing Xorn's fate as he proceeded to land on it after struggling(and cheating) repeatedly to desperately win.

It probably didn't help that Xorn had no idea how to play beyond the basic rules, and as such thought buying up one of each property so Fou-Lu couldn't get them was an excellent strategy. After Fou-Lu had gotten Boardwalk and Park Place.

Ultimately, Xorn was defeated.

Naturally, the obvious calamity took place around this point, as Xorn, master of destruction, had a massive temper tantrum and proceeded to throw various Monopoly pieces directly through crowd members.

Then he started throwing other crowd members through crowd members.

Ultimately, everything had gone about as Fou-Lu expected. With a quiet smile, he shook his head, and walked out of the arena.

He'd really been here too long. He was starting to enjoy this sort of thing.

Fou-Lu: 38
Xorn: 14
