Season 39, Week 1
Rashidi
(Ogre Battle: March of the Black Queen)

The accursed Sage of Zeteginia knows quite a bit about summoning evil gods. Xorn's not so different from Diablos- a dark god of evil and emo blah blah blah. Evil gods are all the same to Rashidi- a tool to be used, and easily controlled with his magic. In his arrogance, Xorn starts fights slowly, preferring to chip his foes down. What a fool. Rashidi brings the pain quickly, starting and ending every fight with a chain of deadly spells, each faster than the last. Will he burn Xorn to ash with the holy Jihad? Grind him into dust with the fiery Fire Wall? It doesn't matter in the end, as he'll be balancing his assault out with parasitic healing from Blood Suck. It won't be a long fight, but it'll surely be a successful one for this Sage...

The lights darken. A foul air ripens the arena. Shivers travel up the spines of the spectators. And suddenly, from within the very heart of the darkness, a piercing voice cries out “Love and Hope have no place in this world!” That’s right, the God of Emo, Xorn himself, has descended to take to the arena by storm and to show Emelious the true power of suffering in a far superior run. First he’ll have to dispose of the corrupt wise man, Rashidi, a famed magician. Of course, while Rashidi may be wise and possess some decent magics, he’s not at all durable. With his excellent HP and psychotic speed, Xorn will be able to crush Rashidi without raising a tentacle, leaving the dark god with ample energy to storm the rest of the DL.

Rashidi's countless evil acts- from the massacre at Pogrom Forest to the corruption of Archangel Mizal- were aimed at one goal. The revival of a dark god who he had given everything to bring back. A god that perhaps rivals Xorn in power.

It was a surprise to pretty much the entire arena when Rashidi managed to actually -compel- Xorn to appear in all of his dark magnificence with nothing more than a really complicated summoning spell. Could perhaps the Wiseman pull off the upset and topple this dark god?

Rashidi's incredible summoning spell was meant with an emotastic laugh and a Death Knell. Looks like it's back to a body cast and the drawing board.
