Season 38, Week 3
Brahms
(Valkyrie Profile Series)

A physical fighter vs Brahms. That'll go well. Brahms is in fact grateful for Emo's debut victory- instead of facing down a scary mage like Terra who would likely rip him apart, he gets the DL's version of a myspace user. While it may be tiring to listen to Emelious's endless prattle, putting a quick and brutal end to him is an easy task for this masterful vampire lord. "Finishing strike: Bloody Curse!" Four words that spell the unending doom for Emo, sending him spiraling towards defeat faster than he can shake a stick. No longer will Brahms be known as Godlike's least lucky fighter, nor will he have any competition in a field that features so many fighters. "My strength is the sword of the oppressed!" will be words Emelious will regret hearing for a long, long time as Brahms finally heads towards the championship he has been hoping for!

With the stunning defeat of Terra Brandford, Emelious has proven that Emo is Good. With one irritating do gooder down, the next target is another maddening stereotype; the good hearted vampire. Instead of indulging in evil, he tries to do what's right over the long term! The nerve of this Brahms, it's disgusting! So Emelious is going to have to bring the smackdown fast and hard. To do so he has crushing physical power of Spirit Wail, which never misses and inflicts truly crushing damage. Yet should that defense hold, there is the magic of Shadow Balls and Dark Force, which will be piled on to tear through Brahms' tissue paper -like magical defense. When this proves too much? Even if Brahms tries to invoke his more PC like forms, Emelious will tear him apart with the power he possesses. All hail another win for the Lord of Emo!

Edge shook his head. Piastol won again. Easily. He had to find someone to stop her in the arena, as everything he had done out of the arena to slow her down, while fun, hadn't affected her fighting skills.

He walked into the Godlike arena. Emelious had just beaten Brahms. Yet no one stood by him to congraulate him, besides his sister. He was alone. Friendless. And extremely powerful.

Also facing Piastol next week.

Edge grinned. He had a plan to deal with the Angel of Death.

"Emelious! How would you like to join my inner circle of friends?"

---

Piastol broke into a cold sweat the second Edge approched Emelious, and she didn't have any clue why.

Guess she didn't learn anything last season.

Brahms: 26
Emelious de Pamela: 29

A wave of darkness.

A blank stare.

A crumpling to the ground.

This match was over before it started.

---

"What!? Why are you laughing!?" Emelious demanded, as Brahms let out a full belly laugh and sank to the ground.

"It...it just occured to me! Watching you use that Shadow Wave... I can't possibly kill you! You're the best hope for getting rid of those foolish goths that plague me! I did not choose to be this way, but you have made yourself into a larger magnet for the imbeciles than I ever will be, and on purpose!" Still chuckling, Brahms left the arena, leaving a puzzled Emelious the victor.

Emelious has made some new friends, too, so I suppose everyone wins.
