Season 37, Week 5
Sephiroth
(Final Fantasy VII)

Angelic slapfights are a staple of Godlike. From Kefka to Seph to Lamington to Altima, you can always count on divine beings slapping each other in the highest division for the greatest rewards. Seph and Piastol are both veterans of high stakes battles. Both know what the reward is for victory here. Seph hasn't taken home a title since his upset loss against Luca Blight. It drives him to even greater heights, along with his desire for a record-setting fourth title. With Wall, Shadow Flare and his reliable durability, he's more than a match for Piastol's stats. Wiping out the memory of Luca's victory with a title is all he wants. And as his incredible record shows, Sephiroth almost always gets what he wants.

The One-Winged Angel himself... who could be a more fitting final opponent for the Angel of Death? Boasting more wins and championships than she herself holds, Sephiroth's resume certainly looks impressive, but the pirate hunter couldn't be less intimidated by his past achievements, because she holds all the aces in this battle. With speed that only a very few could even hope to best, Piastol's Tempest Dance will strike the "Perfect Soldier's" frail body to devastating effect before he can even think about casting Wall. From that point on, Sephiroth will be too far gone to win the ensuing slug-fest and he too will quickly succumb to her scythe like all her foes before, and all yet to come...

4 people approach Piastol before the match. The blue haired legend of the brood, Ryu 3. The Dragon Emperor, Fou-Lu. The Endless Goddess, Myria. The Magic Emperor Ghaleon.

". . ."

Fou-lu placed his hand on Piastol's shoulder. "Thou mustn't allow one winged angel to gain a fourth championship title."

". . ."

Ghaleon's eyes narrowed, he hadn't forgotton what Piastol did to him the last time they were in the ring together. "If you lose to him my reputation will be shot. Do you have any idea how many people I will have to murder to regain my feared status?!"

". . ."

"Ryu, stop trying to talk. It's not working and definately is annoying. And Ghaleon, noones feared you since you became magical girl ghaleon."

". . ."

"Don't mimick Ryu, Ghaleon."

Myria levitated over to Piastol. "I couldn't care less who won between the two of you. The only reason we want you to win is because Sephiroth has more championships than you. If he wins he'll have the same amount as me and if for some reason I'm not in the next season he might actually be the first to five. There will be hell to pay if he achieves that." Myria entered a small bit of killing intent into her aura.

Ghaleon's aura flared up as well. The very sky itself became black.

Fou-Lu's aura was roaring. It was a dragon's roar.

Ryu 3 looked from Myria to Ghaleon to Fou-Lu before he shrugged.

"KAISER!!!"

A golden haired Ryu flared his aura as well. All of the above was directed at Piastol who to this moment still haven't spoken a word.

"The match was a week ago." Piastol said as she walked passed them all. "I've already won."

Ghaleon, Myria and Fou-Lu all turned to glare at Ryu.

"IT'S BECAUSE IT TOOK US THAT LONG TO CONVINCE A MUTE TO COME WITH US!"

Sephiroth: 18
Piastol: 55

The time has come at last. Piastol sits in the ring as Sephiroth slowly walks his way in up the three steps and firmly places his feet in the ring. He mock swipes his enormous sword masamune which causes a smirk to cross Piastols face.

"I'm glad I'm up against a man as renowned as you are."

"Then I shall end this quickly, Ryu." Sephiroth has a mental defeciency. He's defeated the greatest of the ryu's, ryu 3, two times. He believes anything with blue hair a ryu. Thus he believes he has a chacne.

"I'm not Ryu,"

"Do not be modest. Accept your fate, wal-"

"Tempest Dance!"

"What?! Ryu doesn't have that ability!"

"I'm not Ryu,"

"Wal-"

"Tempest Dance!"

"Gah!" Sephiroth fell to the ground. "You cheat!" He spat.

"I'm not a cheat. I'm the strongest of the duelling league. I've had a pretty tough season this time around and before you say I won effortlessly it wasn't actually that easy. It's just that I'm so good that I can MAKE things look that easy." On and on and on and on.

By the time her speech was over the arena was empty. The champion title was tossed at her feet as they feared handing it to her, thinking it would result in her bringing them into the conversation.

Uguu~ My glamorous, glittering Queen Piastol, you are a person, no, God of far greater standards than what this measly voting site brings you. And now, this... this... silver-haired thing actually desires to test the power of my beloved queen? Who is this Sephiroth but a mere stump in the road to Queen Piastol's next victory and championship? But whatever, this silver-haired thing shall be slain by the Angel of Death, Queen Piastol. She moves with such elegance and swings her scythe with such grace, that there is no being who could possibly dream to withstand her. The way the light reflects off of her scythe when she kills, shining onto us the glory of Piastol... Hark, the sound of her clashing steel as it is the fall of the Kabbalah Tree. My lady, my idol, my life!

Sephiroth is really unlucky this week. After coasting through his other mismatches, he's finally ran into someone who can kick his bishie ass. For all his tricks he can't do much when he eats a Tempest Dance before he can fly or cast Wall. Just imagine it, Sephiroth floats down, ready to figh-TEMPEST DANCE TO THE FACE. SCYTHE MAIMING ON AISLE FIVE NOW STAT! How can you argue with that?

Chisa-chan the Wanderer
Sephy: Has a giant attack, reduces all damage by half with wall.
Piastol: Also has a giant attack, and at least triples Sephiroth.

Even with wall, tripling still is going to deal more damage. And since Seph's status rape isn't working here, there's nothing preventing her from another championship.

The write-up pretty much says it all. Piastol walks up to Sephiroth and proceeds to whoop candy a$$. She walks back to where she was positioned at the start of the battle. Time seems to resume and Sephiroth feels that he's lost 80% of his HP. He can't figure out why or how but that's when he puts up wall. Then. . .its Piastols turn again.

Piastol is truly the last obsticale in my lords way when she falls... Lord Sephiroth will stand supreme as the true god of the godlike arena. Last week I explicitly listed the people who can in fact survive the planet they are standing on being blown up. They were carefully selected and labeled in order of likelihood of survival. Let me refresh everyone's memory for a moment.

1. Sephiroth
2. Kefka
3. Yuri Hyuga

Lamda Zelweger was not on this list.
