As a member of a figuratively underground rebellion, Trinity, and a denizen of a horrible, bleak and literally underground world, Lin has been trapped in some sticky situations in her time. A one-on-one fight? Hah. After taking down god-powered Regents and Dragons, a normal, tailless human isn't going to pose little difficulty. Her status-protection armors should dull Arnaud’s standby tricks, and her status-inflicting combos should leave her mage opponent prostrate on the floor while Shatter! breaks all his bones. After surviving the horrors of her world, Lin isn’t about to fall to some regular kid who fights with some puny darts. |

Six straight wins is a pretty big deal by DL standards, but Arnaud's pulled it off, and his conquest continues today! Although Lin’s marksmanship may be good by most standards, Arnaud is not normal! His evasion skills are far beyond those of most humans, and no status spam will work when he can just dodge the attacks! Really, the vastly-lowered odds don’t add up nearly as quickly as normal for the poor catgirl, and her own slowness plus Arnaud's Slow Down mean that the cocky teenager will get a lot more turns than his sluggish opponent. Looks like smarts and speed may win another one for Arnaud after all. |
Otter Arnaud eyed Lin warily. "So, you've got an ARM, huh? Is it the transforming, magically reacting, town exploding kind?" Lin looked at her own gun quizzically. "What? No, I don't think this does any of that." "You're sure? You're not going to lose control and blow something up, here?" "Well, I did blow up a train with a bazooka at one point, but I'm not really sure where that went. So, no." Arnaud shrugged. "All right then, just making sure. Illusion!" Hey, you never know.
