Season 36, Week 3
Rudolf Steiner
(Phantasy Star 2)

The Algol star system has a fine tradition of offensive gunners. Wren and Demi have made their impact known in the higher divisions, and it's time for Rudo to catch up to them and start beating respect into the Light division. He's already taken the first step, and he'll follow up against...a frail female...showgirl? A dancer who follows a makeup-clad freak like Nikki will be no match for Rudo's firepower. His mental clarity and reliance on brute force over magic makes Miki's confusion attack worthless, leaving only her feeble physical strikes to chip at Rudo's rugged physique. She's better off hitting on Rudo and hoping that gets his attention, as she's going to get splattered if she tries anything else.

With a win against the rugged thief Marcus under her belt, Miki moves on to an even manlier opponent, the solid and stoic gunner Rudolf Steiner, who will no doubt be doing his best to pretend that he doesn't notice her as anything more than another opponent. Oh yes, she knows his type all too well. With her womanly charms and impressive...assets...Miki will have no trouble twisting a manly man like Rudo around her little finger. And once that delightful haze sets in, when he's so confused that he can't tell up from down, that's when she'll strike! Yeah, Miki knows how to deal with a man. Even the strong silent type like Rudolf is just in over his head against this deadly dancer.

A backup singer. A battled hardened merc with no ties to the world.

It's the stuff gritty romance films are made out of. It was no surprise when Miki quickly applied the charm to Rudo in an attempt to distract him from the fight.

More surprising was Rudo coldly gunning her down in the middle of Miki making a pass at him.

Turns out Rudo was more of a fan of the Terminator variety of movies.

Another night alone for Miki, staring at the moon and sighing. Of course, she usually isn't in a full body cast when she does that.

That honor is reserved for Dario when he goes cruising for dates, of course.
