Season 36, Week 3
TimeLord
(SaGa Frontier)

Magic immunity's has yet to stop the master of time. So, can a tough boss with lots of damage do it? In a word, no. The Mystic Lord's impressive debut this season follows a run where he disposed of a pair of tough bosses before just barely falling to the might of Ghaleon. How can he stop a monster like Jade? Easy. Pound his freaking face in and block his damage with Glass Shield. Jade's lack of speed and damage outside of his monstrous BoltX leaves him open to such delaying tactics. It may take some time to soften up Jade, but not even he can take TimeLord's attacks for long.

Defeating Gilgamesh was child's play. Why should this Mystic Lord wannabe pose any more of a challenge? After all, Jade thwarts most of his tricks simply by existing. Overdrive-chained magic spells run into his monstrous durability, Time Eclipse simply doesn't work well on bosses, and playing defensively isn't exactly the best of strategies when his foe has a little thing called BoltX. Simply put, if TimeLord really wants to live up to his name, he should forfeit now, as he should be able to see that, in all the possible futures, not one holds anything less than total victory for Jade in this match.

Jade's fearsome durability gives TimeLord two problems here. The first is that his trademark OverDrive spell and chain of attacks will do nothing but bounce off Myria's loyal bug. The second problem is that Jade's durability just isn't physical. Having been abused and mocked for pretty much his entire DL career, he's used to taking the worst insults people can throw out. The mental tricks that so overwhelmed the Magical Emperor will only cause Jade to shrug and keep throwing off BoltX spells till the TimeLord's nothing but ash.

Sometimes no matter how tricky or skilled you are, you sometimes just have to grin and bear it. In TL's case, at least he'll be fried so badly by BoltX that there won't be anything left for Ghaleon to attack.
