Season 36, Week 2
Cecilia Lyne Adelhyde
(Wild Arms)

The brutal and enigmatic Killer is a man with many tools buried in his capable sleeves. Bringing instant death, silence, and his signature Vice Knives combos to the table, few of the heroic persuasion can mount an effective offense. Cecilia, however, is like few other heroes. Rather than relying on brute power, Cecilia brings to bear the most devastating defensive arsenal in the League, possessing more spells than even a skilled dueller like Killer can manage. With Soul Guard, Lock State, and Hide to counter each of his tools in turn, followed by Hyper and a nigh-limitless supply of healing with which to batter the flame-headed thug into submission, Cecilia's match with Killer is definitely par for the course - easy for the implaccable glutton princess.

Finally, some fresh blood for the vicious Killer to spill! Of course, he could care less over the strewn bodies he sprays over the floor in a day's work, but novelty never worked for the detriment of a slithering murderer. Anyway. Killer's against a dueller well known for her mindnumbingly diverse set of skills and a magical immunity trick... which contrasts rather brutally with Killer's more in-your-face approach for blood. Simple, brutal and effective, and what's what matters for his ilk. With his deadly, silencing blades, going first is all he needs to do to have this in the bag. Of course, he could easily defeat princess Cecilia in a straight slugfest, but that'd be a waste of time for his bloodthirsty knives.

"Where's my opponent?" Killer asked the judges, lounging over the box. "I'm rather bloody bored here." Rand shrugged as Katt and the second Nina cooed over the red-haired murderer.

"Like any of us would know. If we knew of reason to cancel a match, we would."

Bow strolled up to the stand. "I... think I figured it out." He held up the advertisement for the match - a full-color, gaudy thing, with a perfect picture of Cecilia on the left and...

"What. the. HELL." Killer said as he jerked away from the poster.

"Yeah, that's definitely not you, Killyboy." Bow chuckled.

"Call me that again and I snap your neck." Killer snarled.

"Isn't that one... Gilbert?" Katt asked after a second. "I can't recognize the other one, though."

"I think it's Peppor." Nina replied.

"No matter who it is, naked mud wrestling is not what I want to be seeing any two guys doing." Rand said as he snatched the poster and crumpled it up. "That'd explain the Perv Squadrons out in force today."

"She must've thought it was a mud wrestling match and stayed home." Killer said. "While I wouldn't have minded, Lady would've... so it's probably best this way."

"...but who would've designed the posters?" Nina mused, making the rest of the people pause.

Meanwhile, Lady ghosted from telephone pole to bus booth, slowly taking down pictures with a seraphic grin on her face...
