Season 36, Week 1
Rudolf Steiner
(Phantasy Star 2)

In this duel of gun-slinging badasses, only one wields the finest technology known to Palma. Built like a brick wall and with a personality to match, Rudolf Steiner inspires terror in even the most stalwart Lights. He's got his guns ready, with plenty of spare ammo at hand. He's one of the toughest Lights around, and will pound anyone who challenges his mastery of the gun. Should we tell this over-prepared master of arms that he doesn't face a fellow hunter and sharpshooter, but a fat old man who gets run over by trucks and eats lard? Nah, that'll just take the fun out of watching him laugh and beat down Palmer's ugly mug.

Take Palmer lightly?! Ha! Tipping the scales like a superheavyweight and with dignity and self-confidence to match, Palmer makes one hell of a sight on the battlefield. While he's a far cry from the stoic Rude or the cool Rufus, Shinra's representative in the Arena this season packs a fearsome punch. Mako guns are just the thing to settle Rudo's hash, that's for sure. Tactics? Who needs them. Rudo's a lunkhead with all the personality and sense of your average SOLIDER grunt. Palmer could outsmart the meatshield, but where's the fun in that?! All he needs to win the day is his wacky taunts and a materia powered gun, not any fancy planning.

Epic gun duel here.

Palmer easily won the 'coolness' round. A high-tech, Shinra developed, materia powered gun is far more cool than some generic futuristic gun named after some dead Numan.

Mind, in the second 'duel' round which accounts for 99% of the actual score, Rudolf just shot Palmer in the head a few times, proving that generic effectiveness > flashy technology.
