Season 36, Week 1
Lugia
(Pokémon Series)

A legend among the legendary Pokémon of the RPGDL, the flying psychic monster known as Lugia is here and ready to do the thing it does best; take hits very well. Lady is nothing if not an offensive powerhouse, but even she may have trouble against Lugia's massive special defense. If that were not enough, Lugia also has the potent Recover technique, which will heal 50% of his HP each time it uses it. Lugia is also no slouch when it comes to damage, possessing a potent Aeroblast attack, which has a great critical hit rate on top of already impressive damage. In addition, Lugia has enough speed to keep up with Lady at every turn. The pokémon even has the advantage in vocabulary size (A possible first for any pokémon not named Mewtwo!), although that advantage may be difficult to apply. Lady is certainly an impressive dueller, but her strength should do little here except make Lugia even more of a legend after its victory.

"Killer..." Her last words may soon be etched on her victory diamond, as the malice-fueled power of the enigmatic Lady can revive the dead, destroy the world - imagine what it could do to a pitiful dragon-bird-thingy that little children collect to use in tournaments! Lady's powerful malice magic is nothing to scoff at - even Godlike's most resilient of warriors fears her deadly Malice Dirge, Crimson Raid and Calamity Gaze, not to mention her Ring Abnormality, Entrance, and Cure spells, each presenting a different obstacle for her opponents to overcome. Lugia might be known for its defense, but once it tastes Lady's fury, there won't be enough left to make an Alabama dinner out of. There's no challenge in this so-called "fight" - with her Malice Unbral shielding her from all the pitiful attacks of her winged opponent, and her own quick feet providing an initial strike before this Lugia can react, there's only one way to sum up this fight: "splat".

The judges looked out through the periscope in the bomb shelter underneath the stadium. "What's the current damage count?" Ness asked worriedly.

"It's being stalled by Yuna, Yuri, Tidus and Citan. Not sure how long that'll last, though. Hopefully reinforcements will come soon." Lucca replied, eyeing the outside worriedly. "Rosa and Rika just came. It should end soon, I hope."

"Good. How about next time we forbid Lady from giving her opponents a kiss before the match?" Hiro said irritably.

The other two nodded in mute agreement. "Good. Malice Lugia just got pinned down by a Sanered/Hasted Yuri/Citan. It's over, thankfully." Lucca murmured. "Sadly, since Lugia never stepped foot in the arena, we have to give the match to Lady..."

"At least Lady didn't trigger Malice Lugia in the arena. That would've been a disaster and a half." Hiro grumbled.

Lugia: 24
Lady: 45
