Season 35, Week 2
Rolf Landale
(Phantasy Star 2)

The strongest of all Phantasy Star Heroes, Rolf Landale returns to the RPGDL once more to prove just how good he really is. With the legendary Neisword at the ready, and the dreaded Megid in the wings, Rolf is ready to take down any challengers. Kurando Inugami, the harmonixer cousin of Yuri Hyuga, doesn't stand a chance against this original legendary hero. Kurando's demon morphs are powerful and terrifying, but they're nothing Rolf hasn't seen while facing down Dark Force before. While the dreaded ogre Jutendouji is a strong beast to take down, Rolf's Megid spell will still be as effective as ever at taking down the fused Kurando - even fused to a powerful demon, Kurando, let alone little else, can take a single Megid, let alone two. Even Kurando's healing will avail him not - Rolf's Neisword strikes and excellent agility will allow him to circumvent his opponent's healing abilities, winning a quick battle with little trouble. It's time to show the RPGDL that Phantasy Star Four isn't the only Phantasy Star game that can win in the arena!

After the fantastic performance of his distant relative Yuri Hyuga in Godlike last season, Kurando Inugami's got a lot to live up to this season. The mighty demon morphing Kurando has his work cut out for him this week, facing off against the terribly powerful hero Rolf Landale, but if anyone can stop the Megid-wielding agent, it's Kurando. Unleashing the power of the Ogre, the terrifying Jutendouji morph, Kurando can go head-to-head with Rolf, overcoming the Agent's superior speed and strength in an instant. In addition, the Ogre's superior defenses will allow Kurando to withstand a blast of even the dreaded Megid technique, something few Godlikes can take. The dreaded Heavenquake, meanwhile, will make mincemeat out of Rolf, tearing him apart faster than even his own Megid would be able to do, overwhelimg Rolf's healing abilities with little problem. And should Kurando fall victim to a blast of Rolf's signature technique, Tsukiyomi's healing abilities will keep him going for a long, long time. Look out, Yuri! Kurando's coming your way!

What is this, a joke? Rolf is almost as good a PC killer as Orlandu for the exact opposite reason that Orlandu is a good PC killer: Rolf would lose in a grudge match since Phantasy Star heroes really aren't known for their staying power, but Rolf also has the strongest Megid, ever, of which all other Megids are mere shadows. Including the Megid used by the effective antithesis of all life. Add this to his ability to heal himself and his speed and I really don't see Kurando coming out ahead.

Rolf just blows Kurando up. If and only if Kurando can survive it (which would involve getting off his Harmonixer abilities before Rolf blows him up as well as being more durable than everyone who has fallen to Rolf's Megid before) does he get the option of trying to fight Rolf for as long as it takes him to Megid Kurando... again.
