Season 35, Week 1
Asgard
(Wild Arms 3)

Asgard is a pretty dutiful and surprisingly emotional robot, and as a robot designing for combat, he can kick some major ass - enough to warrant his current position in the highest division, at the very least. While the people who named his attacks weren’t exactly original, Barrier Knuckle, Wide Barrier, and Barrier Flood are all three useful dueling skills and give the robot some variety to smash in his enemies. Sadly, his fun ID and gravity tricks are wasted on fighting the boring boss angel Lamington of Disgaea fame, so he has to stick to Barrier Knuckling him in the face, over and over and over again until the angel falls down on his face. Fortunately Lamington's powerful Judgment skill is Ice, and it’s not like the cold can actually HURT a robot, especially one of Asgard's caliber...

Angelic choirs sing hymns to the Heavens as their Lord steps into the arena to grace Godlike once again. Amidst the demonic villains and mortal heroes of the league, the Seraph Lamington stands apart, a lone master of Heaven tasked to balance the innumerable lords of Hell. Such is his burden and fate, for even he has sinned. But before the time of his own repentance comes, there is first the small matter of punishing the hubris of those who would call themselves ‘Godlike’. First on the list is the golem called Asgard, whose attempts to fight back will be futile. With immunity to the golem’s terrible Wide Barrier, and the skill to evade his other clumsy attacks, Lamignton has nothing to fear. Even a golem may learn the error of his pride, and kneel before the mercy of the Seraph.

AAA
Can a robot feel love? Does a robot have a soul? Could you teach a machine built for descrution, like Asgard, to become a human being?

None of these questions entered Lamington's head as he blasted that expensive bucket of bolts into the stratosphere.

What? Just because he's an angel doens't mean he has to be a sappy idiot. Flonne does that quite nicely.

You don't get to become the leader of the angels just by being a goody-goody, you know.

The timeless ages.

The cold.

The dark.

And then, to come to life again after millenia, in a new, and more frightening form!

This is the true power of all great machines.

This is what Lamington has to fear.

"Where'd you get that microwave?" Marle asked Lucca curiously.

"Well, I was wandering around in Epoch, and happened to notice this weird glint in the sky, a few hundreds of years from now. Some frozen junk was in orbit, so I used it for salvage. Seems to work pretty well." Lucca said, satisfied.

"...I don't know about that." Marle said, thunking the top of her invunerable cup of coffee with a spoon.
