Season 34, Week 3
Lyonesse
(Brigandine)

Leonia's leading cleric just handed out one unholy asskicking last week to the now splattered Zweig. What can another long-haired insufferable scholar do to Lyonesse (HINT: not much)? Keele's even more pathetic than Zweig, lacking anything approaching damage or a useful skillset. To answer his cantrips, a Divine Ray is just the thing to light up his life. Or tear his flesh and spirit apart. Charm and Protect give Lyonesse the ability to cut the fight short or drag it out as need be, not that it's a concern. If the fights get any easier for Lyonesse, she may well end up battling Jogurt for the Light championship...

After taking out the trash, Keele is now going against one of the big ones. Lyonesse is the type of opponent that worries most Lights; just because she has some damage, some healing, some status, and some success in the ring... not Keele though! For one who had studied and mastered the Craymel Artes as much as he did, Lyonesse is just some amateur who knows a bunch of parlor tricks! Before his myriad of elemental spells, the Leonia Queen's mono-white skillset is nothing, and he will show this wannabe magical girl the superiority of an Inferian mage!

t was a Magic duel like none other. Spells were thrown around with wild abandon and with no concern for collateral damage. Keele dealt damage of all flavors, but Lyonesse calmly casted one protective enchantment after another while healing whenever her life points reached dangerously low numbers. Then, moments before the Queen of Leonia could gain full control of the battlefield and begin her counter-attack, Keele saw an opportuniy, gathered his mana, and unleashed his trump card.

"I tap for 4 red and cast Flashfires to destroy all your Plains. After that resolves, I cast a Dark Ritual to add three black mana to my mana pool then tap all my Swamps to cast a 4-point Drain Life targetting you. With Furnace of Rath in play and doubling damage, you lose 8 life points, bringing your life down to 0. Do you have any way to prevent the damage?"

Lyonesse, now with no mana to cast the cards in her hand or activate her Circle of Protection: Black, could only gape in shock at her loss. "But... how..."

Keele smiled smugly. "I told you being mono-White was a bad idea."

Lyonesse: 20
Keele Ziebel: 23
