Season 33, Week 3
Philia Felice
(Tales of Destiny)

The Knight of Bound is an interesting study for Philia. This knight claims to not be able to lose, yet boasts a vast losing record, complete with a a downgrade in the DL arena. He claims to have no equal in combat, yet his bladework is at best on par with what a simple Ranger could do. It all points to a single and daunting conclusion - that this hero, this Dekar, is a horrible liar! He needs to be punished for his crimes, purified from his UNCLEAN ways! He needs Divine Punishment in the form of magic granted to her by the Swordian Clemente. The priests of Straylize temple may not approve of Philia's tactics, but surely they can forgive a little violence in the name of setting one poor confused man down the path of truth!

Although having a sword fetish might be slightly strange and possibly dangerous, it’s not always a bad thing. Hey, Dekar proved that to poor Aika last week, didn't he? And, this week, the strategy changes very little in his fight against Philia Felice. The Straylize priestess is essentially a frail, sluggish mage. And you know what Dekar does to frail, sluggish mages? Prepare for the surprise - he smashes them with his shiny sword! Dekar’s not really much on creativity here (or... anything that even remotely resembles intelligence...), but, really, when fighting weaklings like Philia, who is too busy worrying about the UNCLEAN to properly fight, he can afford to keep his strategy simple - and that's the way he likes it!

Philia likes dumb swordsman. She's facing Dekar in the arena. Philia can also stop time. I don't think I need to draw you a map of what happens, do I?

Dekar so wins on so many levels.

The world would fall apart without moral-preaching guilt-instilling priestesses around to keep horrible LIARS from doing what they please, lying willy-nilly all over the place!

And with righteousness (and Thunder magic) on her side, Philia delivered divine justice upon her foe. Guess he remembers how to lose now.
