Season 33, Week 1
Genevieve
(Valkyrie Profile)

"Such ugly creatures..." Well, alright, Timelord may not be one of the more revolting denizens of the DL (well, at least as long as Ghaleon isn't the one judging things), but he's the enemy here, and that alone is all the reason Genevieve needs to want to smite him with all the arcane powers at her disposal. After many seasons of failure (including consecutive defeats by the Horn of Valmar) Genevieve is out for the blood and glory she needs to redeem herself. The focused wrath of Indiscriminate will be more than enough to blow away the puny Mystic lord, and should he try to employ his infamous Overdrive and go for an all-out attack, Gen's stellar resilience to magic and equally high physical evasion should let her weather the assault. Once it's done, the JP- and WP-less wizard will be easy pickings.

Master of Time. Mystic Lord and mocker of Ghaleon. The TimeLord collects titles - and wins - like other men pile up pocket change. His much-anticipated return to the arena places him in a familiar place. Ghaleon awaits him in the semifinals if he can make it that far, and countless fans clamor for a rematch. TimeLord may not be overjoyed at letting the insane master mage get another crack, but he won't shy away. He just has to get there, and Genevieve's as tough an opening round foe as he's ever faced. Blistering quadracast magic is enough to make even him wince. He'll have to win fast and strike without mercy. Good thing that's his strong suit. The frail Lich may have enough magical powers to rip anyone in half with a few spells, but nothing she has can slow down the infinite powers of OverDrive.

Speed is the key to everything to the TimeLord. He has to be fast in winning the fight, and even faster in escaping the arena- Ghaleon's not going to wait for the semis to get a hold of him. Thus he had to be prepared. Coming into the fight with seven flasks of Mithra's Holy Water and showing them to Genevieve might have been a little on the cruel side, but it was enough to get her to flee the arena, screaming at the top of her lungs.

Wasting an OverDrive to flee the arena and head back to the safety of his realm was a touch on the flashy side, but you can never be too sure with a rampaging Magic Emperor on the loose.
