The castle of Budehuc is beset by evil once more as the demon beast known as Sir Leopold terrorizes the skies and everything underneath it. Helpless before this monster, the people cry into the night, their suffering unheard by any who could help...

... until now.

Their sharp ears catching the tinges of suffering, eight heroes from legend take up their arms once more, to fight for the weak and vaquish the evil!

For "Jin" stands Koroku, whose sense of justice as the leader of the dog warriors is beyond peer.

For "Gi" stands Kosanji, whose sense of duty never lets him give up in the face of adversity.

For "Rei" stands Connie, whose sense of honor lets her deal with any people in moderation.

For "Chi" stands Kogoro, whose knowledge leaves people baffled and questioning his species.

For "Chu" stands Koichi, whose sense of loyalty to his master and allies are as strong as steel.

For "Shin" stands Luceid, whose faith in his comrades guides his convictions and goals.

For "Ko" stands Blanca, whose wisdom and common sense far surpasses those of the average man.

For "Tei" stands Shiro, whose strong brotherhood with his human companion is known to all.

Individually, they are strong, but united, nothing can stop them! At the time of their greatest need and honor, they will come! The Legendary Canine Warriors roam once more!

Blanca, probably the smartest of the eight, was a little surprised at how easily Leopold was taken down, but he wrote it off as an effect of the Canine Warriors' unstoppable strength. It wasn't until later that he learned that Leopold threw the fight for a tidy percentage of Marcello's winnings, which were considerable given his bet against Leopold with Ramus, who was sure that the helldog would walk away with it. Dogfights aren't about winning or losing. They're all about the money.

Actually, good wins, because 1.) Evil can't keep its head on straight for five seconds at a time (case in point? Kefka!), and 2.) All the Power Rangers, Justice League, and other crap we force our children to watch proves that uniting enough people together can beat anything.
