Season 32, Week 4
Jin Uzuki
(Xenosaga: Jenseits von Gut und Bose)

After two easy matches, Jin Uzuki at last faces a competitor tough enough to make him work for his victory. Virginia Maxwell is feared throughout Light for her physical evasion, powerful Gatling technique, and her relentless assault of wing-related metaphors. Luckily, Jin’s years of training with a sword has given him excellent accuracy, and his hearty frame should protect him from all but the worst blows. But most importantly, Jin is immune to Virginia’s most dangerous weapon: that annoying, incessant preaching. Having grown up with Shion, Jin has already withstood the worst damage that a human voice can inflict and lived to tell the tale. Facing an enemy immune to her trump card, Virginia is sure to fall.

Silly Jin, bringing a sword to a gunfight. Jin's heard that comment a lot, considering how common guns are in the Xenosaga universe, and it's well-founded - Jin is often considered the weakest member of his cast. But in all honesty, his weapon hardly matters against Virginia - he's a pure fighter with unexceptional accuracy. And so he will find the evasive devil in a violet dress an unassailable wall, albeit a frustratingly mobile one. With the extra FP Virginia will gain from her quick footwork, a Gatling will be just around the corner - all she needs to put Uzuki away, Medica or no. Twin pistols in hand, Ginny will defeat Jin to advance to the Light finals, and will show once and for all how swords became a thing of the past!

In a similar upset here on "American Idol: RPG division", both Jin Uzuki and Virginia Maxwell were somewhat at a loss during their competitions.

Jin managed to squeak a few approval points by reciting some of the ancient art of haiku (VERY ancient for Jin).

Virginia managed to play her own strengths by singing "I Believe I Can Fly" - which surprised everyone when she didn't just whistle something.

For actually managing to follow the rules of the game and perform a -song-, Ginny won by a landslide.

Jin Uzuki: 23
Virginia Maxwell: 67

During the match Virginia 'accidentally' shot shion who happens to be in the arena stands and Jin just walks out of the arena.

*Outside the Arena*

Jin is shaking his hand with virginia in a bar near the Arena at 10:00 pm.

'It's a pleasure doing business with you miss Maxwell,' Jin said to Virginia.

'It's a pleasure doing business with you too, mister Uzuki,' Virginia replied to the swordsman. 'She is soo annoying, how do you keep up with her anyway?'

Jin replied, 'you'll get use to it but it does get in your nerve'.

*Meanwhile at another corner in the bar, an individual who happens to be chisato is quietly recording the whole event with her miniature camera.*

'This'll make a good scandal for the dl press agency'.

There's a lot that can be said about the Jin/Virginia fight (such as the sword to a gunfight joke), but there's really only one way to describe how humiliated Jin was.

Virginia spent the entire fight with full FP.

Why is this bad?

Because you don't start with full FP- and can regain it through many maneuvers, namely, dodging.

Jin powered Virginia up for a massive gatling and died a horrible death.

Take that, pretentious German subtitles!

Having not yet played Xenosaga 3, I have to go with Jin from the second game. And there is no way I see 2nd game Jin beating Virginia.

Does Virginia's preaching actually inflict sleep?
