Season 31, Week 4
Ryu
(Breath of Fire III)

Here he is... a dragon who needs no introduction.. Ryu the Third! As expected, he has strong-armed his way through this Godlike season without breaking a sweat. Fortunately, his towel will be dry for yet another round as he goes up against the Horn of Valmar himself, Melfice. Normally an opponent to be feared, Melfice has a tendency to choke against high-class fighters like Ryu. Wailing Soul Slash may be a cause for concern, but Ryu's hardened dragon skin in any of his forms is enough to tank his way through that. Adding into the mix the powerful offense those forms give him, Ryu is set to go all the way back to the finals, and mount a fresh horn on his trophy wall.

The Horns of Valmar once again plow through Godlike, as Melfice adds another victory to his already staggering resume - eighteen wins and not stopped before the semifinals even once. What more can be said for this former Godlike champion? He'll get a chance to avenge one of his few losses by rematching with Ryu the third. As powerful as Melfice is, he stands no chance once Ryu reverts into his dragon forms. Getting the drop on the human Ryu and quickly killing with Quake spells or Wailing Soul Slashes is his only chance. Considering Melfice's breakneck speed and success in the arena, he's got a shot at upsetting Ryu and avenging his earlier loss.

Melfice can't win if Ryu gets a turn. Ryu can just turn into Mammoth or Tiamat or something and blast away on all three of Melfice's parts, while Melfice has to deal with Ryu's suddenly godlike hit points.

And frankly, Melfice can't even kill Ryudo in one hit, so Ryu is getting that turn.

Ryu: 67
Melfice: 35

Ryu, after having rested up from his last *very easy* match, goes against Melfice, transforming into Tiamat, he does some serious damage, and plows to the finals, in which he will unleash the full power of Kaiser.
