The Kings and/or Queens of Season XXX

Amidst the ogling and wet T-shirt contests and other other disgusting displays of heteroeroticism, the Consolidated Yaoi/Yuri Guild of the Duelling League has decided to host a simpler, more wholesome King and Queen of the Season contest, though slightly modified to fit their unique needs and to show once and for all that, while sex is the lowest common denominator, love can truly conquer it all: orientation, gender, discrimination...
Okay, so the spokesperson got a little ranty. The point is, it's a relatively equal-opportunity, tasteful contest that's good fun for everyone that still believes in love!

The first contestants are the Drifter power couple Virginia Maxwell and Maya Schroedinger. Widely acknowledged as the most touching story of the recent age, their long-running and turbulent romance is sure to attract attention once again today.

Second are Mystics Asellus and White Rose. Well-known for her strong political presense and no-nonsense attitude towards bigotry, Asellus is sure to draw the support of the Guild, but will that be enough?

From the other side of the poll come poster men Dart and Lavitz. A staple of all yaoi communities, they're the favorites for this contest out of the gate.

Representing the vast Suikoden realms, late additions Culgan and Seed make a rare public appearance. They're relative unknowns to the world at large, but their homeland is known to follow such proceedings with great interest.

And finally, as a measure of fairness and general good taste, the long-reigning Sexiest Man Alive Yuri Hyuga and his lovely Alice stand tall, if a little out of their element. Both are known to be good sports, however, and they probably won't wipe out the competition with holy power instead of playing fair.

And thus, the contenders known, the voting begins.

  • Asellus/White Rose is just too strong for mere mortals
  • Dart/Lavitz always wins a yaoi contest
  • Seed/Culgan cruises on the Suikoden vote. Typical
  • Yuri/Alice is just too sexy no matter what floats your boat

The theme of this season is of course focused on the women fighting. How can someone named Yuri POSSIBLY lose?

Yuri wins by name alone.
