Season 30, Week 3
Yuna
(Final Fantasy X)

A giant, world-destroying monster? It's nothing Yuna doesn't have plenty of experience fighting before. And compared to the great beast which chronically terrorised Spira for centuries, Lavos must be a weak world-destroyer indeed, to need 65 million years to build up enough power to attempt to dominate the world (only to be crushed by a group of teenagers). And he's certainly not one capable of standing up to the overwhelming power of Bahamut, Anima, or the Magus Sisters, not to mention Yuna's elemental summons and Valefor. This is, of course, all assuming that Yuna's pyrefly creations are even necessary - as Lavos possesses no dangerous status attacks, the Summoner could probably fight the beast mano a mano with her powerful defensive spells and healing if she wished. Whether it's purifying overgrown fiends, or just ensuring that the Season XXX Godlike semifinals have one more astonishingly dazzling face, Yuna's mission this week is a holy one, and she has no intention of failing.

In every game, there is an ultimate evil that seeks the eminent destruction of the entire universe. Chrono Trigger is no different, featuring the extremely devastating (but rather slow) Lavos. But once he came out of his cocoon after a mere 65,001,999 years (we told you he was slow!), he made his presence known. And now, after once again patiently waiting to rise to his deserved glory in Godlike, he finally gets a well-deserved win! Last week he splattered a puny Godlike PC, and his opponent this week is another frail PC. One blast of his powerful Grand Stone should be enough to send the white mage packing before she gets off any of her signature Summons. And even if he has to rumble with her Summons, his superior damage and boss durability will easily allow him to overthrow these pathetic beings and give Lavos his second win. Besides, it took three teenagers, a robot, a cavewoman, a goth and a anthromorphic frog to beat him last time! What's one little girl going to be able to do to him?

Yuna's victory over Lavos was an unusual one, yet had a sense of familiarity about it. To whit;

Lavos rose from the floor of the arena, ominous music playing, drooling slightly. Yuna, non-plussed, merely pulled out a small box. "You... should really meet my pet."
Cracking the lid slightly, the mighty Sin was revealed in its full, planet-smashing glory. The two monstrous entities growled back and forth for a time, until bizarrely Lavos looked away, blushing. The two then skipped off into the sunset together, little hearts dancing overhead.
Yuna clasped her hands together in glee. "I... hope I'm invited... to the wedding."

In unrelated news, Yuna altered the team introduction of the Gullwings. It now goes "I'm Rikku!" "I'm Paine!" "And I'm Cute~!"

Yuna: 62
Lavos: 55

Yuna vs. Lavo's, this should be interesting at best, it all boils down to Anima vs. Lavos, Anima just annihilates Lavos while Yuna sit's back and relaxes.

Okay I admit it I underestimated Gohan... Damn it I mean Guv I apologize

But thats not important. The true god has come and honestly Lavos should have no problem destroing Luna who is in my opinion the single most overrated Godlike in the tournament. Truthfully her Aeons aren't that great. Valefor is a push over, Bahamut is a joke, Don't even get me started on how bad the magus sisters are. The only real threat is Anima with its*potential* instant death but Lavos is... Well Immune to it

Lets not forget that if Lavos so chooses to he can use the power of any boss *or in this case Godlike* and guess what that means he can be the unbeatble Fou-Lu. The most powerful Godlike in the tournie. In other words its now Luna vs Fou-Lu... which boils down to Lavos with another easy victory... Blouses

I can't vote here since I've never played Chrono Trigger, but I want to comment that this season is like Season 21 again in that two longtime losers gain wins (Riou and Geshp in 21, Cyril and Lavos in 30). However, as Season 21 proved:

Lightning doesn't strike twice...or maybe it does...but it's Ixion's lightning.
