Season 28, Week 4
Kefka
(Final Fantasy VI)

There's no clowning around when Kefka the clown is in town! His opponent has been very lucky so far, having drawn a weak slew of foes thus far. Now that Lloyd's facing a true Godlike, things will be far different. Lloyd's much-praised evasion and speed pale before the mighty Kefka's own, and with Lloyd's middling advantages out of the way, Kefka will have a field day. With his dreaded Havoc Wing, Kefka can easily obliterate the frail Wingly in a heartbeat, leaving nothing of the pathetic swordsman left in the mad clown's wake. Lloyd's run ends now - another Kefka championship will be seen this season, and the mad clown won't settle for anything less than total domination of his pathetic opponents.

The mightiest of the Winglies has thrown off all doubt plaguing his career and advanced to the Semi Finals. Just one opponent lies between him and the finals - and perhaps at long last some peace of mind, if he fights the God Emperor. However, that opponent is Kefka, who will prove a challenge in his own right. However, Lloyd holds all the cards; even Kefka can't hope to keep pace with the fleet-footed Lloyd, and while his impressive evade will provide him some measure of protection against the dreaded Havok Wing, there is little Kefka can do to ward off Lloyd's furious magical assault - especially with Kefka's durability issues. It will be a tough battle, but on his honor, Lloyd will not fail now.

We have an interesting match this week. Kefka, the two-time champion, speed demon, and madman extraordinaire faces off against Lloyd, a rather so-so Godlike. It may seem like Kefka is going to win this match without even breaking a sweat -- but wait! There is much more to this match than meets the eye. A rousing edition of \"Eight Degrees of Kefka Bacon\" will reveal the truth about this encounter.

Lloyd defeated Ness last week. The week before that, Ness defeated Kuja. Kuja has defeated Sephiroth. Sephiroth has defeated Virgil. Virgil has defeated TimeLord. TimeLord has defeated Piastol. Piastol has defeated Ghaleon. Ghaleon has defeated Zophar. And finally, Zophar has defeated *gasp* Kefka!

Therefore, we can assume the following: Lloyd > Ness > Kuja > Sephiroth > Virgil > TimeLord > Piastol > Ghaleon > Zophar > Kefka

As we can clearly see, Lloyd easily outclasses Kefka. He should have no problem dispatching the mad clown and claiming a spot in the Finals. No problem at all.

...

...okay, maybe not. Well, it was worth a shot >_>

1. Lloyd is only truly powerful in his Dragoon Form.
2. Kefka has Havok Wing. Therefore Lloyd will never GET to his Dragoon form.
3. If all else fails Kefka's 16 bit laugh will make Lloyd curl up into fetal position and cry.
