Season 28, Week 3
Tir McDohl
(Suikoden Series)

Ash couldn't even put up a valorous fight against the Soul Eater's hunger. Such is the way of the cursed, and Tir's next opponent may even put up a better fight, but will ultimately crumble to the sheer might of this rune. The deceptively peppy numan Rika may even try her trademark Eliminate, but Tir is about as fast as this catgirl look-alike, and may very well live through her life-shearing clash. On the other hand, a single wave of Tir's hands will get her soul devoured by the Deadly Fingertips... or worse, her body decimated by the unerring might of Judgement. No matter what she tries, the Tenkai Star already decided her fate, and he is ready to advance towards the semifinals.

It's not something you'd expect from appearances. A peppy Numan catgirl battles a silent young man.. in godlike?! Yep! Rika's certainly not the most intimidating godlike, but you don't get more than one chance to take her lightly. This brutal and short battle of wills is an example of that. Both Rika and Tir rely on brutal, near perfect accurate instant death. Too bad for the young bearer of the Soul Eater that Rika's as quick as they come, and can use Eliminate to knock out McDohl in a single use. Of course, if the young man tries to use anything but his ID, her vast array of support skills will more than make him regret looking at Rika as something more than a pretty face.

Rika and Tir. A regular oddcouple. Hyperactive Numan and Silent Tenkai. But it turned out they both have one thing in common.
Both like excessively long conversations.
Or so Tir lead Rika to believe. Using his legendary ability to be asked the same question ad nauseum until he used the correct response, Tir kept Rika talking. And Talking. And talking. Stars were born and died, and she kept on, babbling without noticing how little energy it too Tir to respond. The audience perished of boredom, and the judges fell asleep, and still the one-sided conversation persisted.
Ultimately, however, even Rika cannot talk forever. And so, shortly before Zarquon's return, the pointy-earred girl in spandex collapsed, while Tir used Judgement to signify to briefly wake up a judge to declare him the victor.
Why didn't Tir just use Judgement on Rika? Well, suffice to say that Tir thought a few people should get some rest...
