Season 28, Week 1
Ness
(Earthbound)

The psychic wonder from Onett returns to the arena, and he's not taking defeat for an answer! While he can't really dazzle the flashy Kuja with stunning speeches and fashionable clothes, Ness can more than make up for that with his bat, healthily applied into the monkey's head until Kuja thinks he's a pretty princess. With massive durability and nigh-limitless healing, Ness is more then set for a slugfest. Heal when he needs to and SMAAAAAAAAASH! the monkey-boy when he doesn't - a straight and sunny strategy that will bring Ness to the arms of victory!

Godlike's most fashionable dresser returns to the arena after much anticipation. After all, it's time to prove that Kuja's more than just a pretty face, and taking down the psychic little boy from Onett shall do just that! Not even Ness's famed psychic powers or his overwhelming durability will save him from Kuja's mighty Star Flare and Holy - or pierce the Genome's Reflect. With powerful Flare Star counters. In the end, there is no doubt that Kuja, snazzy and stylish monkey of Terra, shall reign supreme this season!

The Auto-Haste + Auto-Regen combo is the bane of FF9 bosses everywhere. With it, characters literally have living, breathing HP that just don't seem to die. Not even if said boss is as fast as Kuja do they stand much of a chance.

A pity then, for Kuja to run into the psychic child from Onett. What does Ness do best? Why being a living, breathing, HP machine that just doesn't seem to die. Quite literally too, as most people who played Earthbound can attest.

Looks like Kuja just found his kryptonite in the form of a little boy with a baseball bat and psychic powers.
