Season 3, Week 4
Asellus
(SaGa Frontier)

Asellus is facing another monster physical fighter this week in Jack. Her powerful Glass shield spell will help protect against an opening use of Trump Card, and her mystic status attacks will surely be a threat to Jack, who isn't known for his awesome MDef. However... Jack's Soul Breaker attack is a very serious threat for Asellus, and she'll have to attempt to win this match before it's a threat.

Jack's somewhat limited with what he can do Asellus, with her glass shield. As such, he'll be forced to use Soul Breaker for a fast win, before Asellus applies a massive beatdown via Mystic magic. Don't count out Jack's healing, though. It's gotten him through tighter matches.

As everyone who's ever played SaGa Frontier knows, the characters in that game toss out ungodly damage, but go down faster than Rinoa in a brothel. This means that you have a game of quick draw specialists. A pity that she had to meet a better Quick Draw specialist, and so Asellus goes down to an opening Trump Card.

Asellus: 4
Jack van Burace: 6

Jack does the smart thing, and goes to someone who's both smarter than him, and knows how to deal with the likes of Asellus.

Jack walked into the arena, clutching his arm. Muttering just loud enough for Asellus to hear, he begins talking about the protesters who were objecting to the victory of team Yuri last week. Asellus, outraged that someone would object to that, left the arena, enraged.

Jack walked over, and thanked Kazan for his help. Apparently, reading Doijin could do a fighter some good.
