Season 27, Week 1
Genevieve
(Valkyrie Profile)

Filthy creatures! That’s right, Genevieve, Valkyrie Profile's vain and malevolent demoness, has returned to the battlefield to brew her own special blend of hatred, spite, and pain. Her first victim this season is the lowly woman who names herself Ellen Kirishima. Sure, this puny Ellen person may be able to block most of Genevieve’s magic, but she can’t block Cosmic Spear. The darkness-powered Great Magic will rip through Ellen’s Persona, leaving the poor little model a bloody mess. Genevieve will show her who the true beauty in Godlike is.

The model of tranquility, grace, and power that every DL warrior strives to emulate, Ellen Kirishima makes a triumphant return to Godlike's stage, and things are looking good for her. The protection granted by St. Michael against enemy magic will be very beneficial in against a dedicated mage like Genevieve, and with Tetrakarn to guard against Genevive's paltry physical blows as well, Ellen holds all the cards in this battle. A few Taru Kaja-powered Deathbounds should easily smite the dark sorceress, bringing Ellen an easy first round victory.

Starphoenix das Helpoemer
Secure in the prospect that her Cosmic Magic would be unblockable, Genevieve felt completely UNSTOPPABLE in the presence Ellen. So much so that the night before the match, Genevieve took in a movie.

Unfortunately for her, Ellen had made a stop by the local Rumormongering Office earlier in the week and paid for a fairly specific rumor to be spread. A rumor that (in someone's odd universe) would become true if enough people hear and believe it.

Even more unfortunately for Genevieve was that it was the opening night for X-Men 3: The Last Stand.

It's strange how horribly wrong a rumor about someone being "Swept away by a Wave" can go when said rumor pertains to a legion (or wave if you aren't that picky) of fanboys trampling on said victim.

Poor Genevieve. They say that they'll need to do a skin graft to get rid of that boot mark on her face. We all wish her a speedy recovery.
