Season 26, Week 3
Lani
(Final Fantasy IX)

Lani has a big advantage here - she is fast enough to easily get in extra hits in on Kain between jumps and can hit him with elements he does not resist. Backed with the extra durability that being a boss brings, she should be able to take this match quite handily. All she has to do is wait for him to land and attack straight away. Lani is easily quick enough to get another turn before Kain can get airborne again, and after that she just has to repeat the process until victory is hers.

Kain's not going to have any problems winning this match. The dragoon's low speed won't mean a thing when his superior defense makes any and all of Lani's attacks laughable, and his Jump attack will quite quickly make short work of Lani's less-than-stellar HP, while also making it harder for her to make any dent in Kain's own hit points. Kain's utter power will quickly decimate Lani and send the Dragoon a baby step closer to the Light championship that has long been denied him.

Cinny
C'mon. Nothing can touch Kain when he jumps. Nothing. His jumps inflict massive, massive damage that some boss fights simply could not be won without. And Kain's no weakling when he's on the ground, either: his armor is almost as good as Cecil's. Let's face it, guys: Kain belongs back in Middle. 'Nuff said.

Lani: 48
Kain Highwind: 62

Acheron
Lani has enough firepower to take down Kain, assuming she fights cleverly. An impressively large axe beats a spear any day. Especially one that involves a somersault even to use it.

When all else fails to determine who wins in a battle of this magnitude of... well, suckitude, one may as well simply pick the one who's a boss with a big honking axe.
