Season 26, Week 2
Profound Darkness
(Phantasy Star 4)

Darkness has come to the arena this week, in the form of the god of destruction who terrorised Algol for millenia. The Profound Darkness now seeks to envelop the league in its cloak of nothingness, and a championship in the vainly-named "Godlike" division is but its first stepping-stone to this goal. And if the division as a whole is a stepping-stone, what is this first foe? A mere pebble, a simple butcher who dares to match his strength against a far greater evil. The Darkness' own servant, Zio, handled this pitiful human many seasons ago. Unless the Darkness wishes to be shown up by Its own pupil, it will claim victory here...though since the Profound Darkness has the monstrous durability and devastating offence that befit a god, the task will hardly be a difficult one.

The mad prince of Highland never has been inclined to turn down a good fight. And to fight a god...well, what better foe could there be for a man bored of riding roughshod over petty, fragile mortals? The Profound Darkness may be the incarnation of evil and terror but, Luca takes pride in his copious experience with those emotions himself. While his three actions per round give Luca an impressive amount of offense, his durability is more likely to see him through to victory this week. His high resistance to all damage and a respectable HP score make him one of the toughest duellers to kill, and will more than allow him to stand against the Darkness' own considerable durability. Look at it this way: the Profound Darkness fell to five heroes. It took an army to kill Luca Blight.

The Profound Darkness is the creator of evil. Immensely powerful, his abilites dwarf that of even the Beast Rune. the prince of the highlands's just one human. Relying on nothing more than his own strength, he fights on. No one single creature can stop him. He fights on, no matter what..

Not even the personfication of evil's anything more than another -pig- for the slaughter in his eyes. He won't stop. He can't be stopped. He's Luca Blight, and nothing will stop his mad rampage.
