Season 3, Week 3
Locke Cole
(Final Fantasy VI)

Famed treasure-hunter Locke Cole has his hands full this week, though he's by no means out of luck. His opponent, Algus, being a knight, favours a much slower, more power-oriented style of fight than Locke. Which suits the thief... er, brave adventurer, just fine. Locke will likely get many doubleturns on Algus, and his Valiant Knife only gets stronger as Algus hurts him. He's in relatively little danger from Algus' Battle Skills, to boot, as they're just too unreliable (Weapon Break especially) and Algus needs to win this fast lest Locke's superior speed and decent overwhelm him. Locke's only failing in this battle is his low defence, which means that however much pain he dishes out, he's going to be taking a lot in return, too. Which makes this a damage war... and one Locke is just fortunate enough to have the head start in!

Algus has to change gears this week. Unlike his last opponent, Locke lacks magic, but has monster speed. Algus has the advantage in power, until Locke loses most of his health. Algus could opt for an armor and helmet break, and attempt to bypass Locke's high damage at low HP.

Locke's stolen many things in his time. Hearts, weapons, pants (in some cases, all three at once.) However, he'll just settle for stealing Algus's sword, and therefore, the win.

Locke Cole: 13
Algus Sadalfas: 6

Locke will win because he will steal Algus's clothes.
