Rivalry?! That's when -it- happened.... ~ Several monthes ago, in a land far detached from the DL.... ~ Eddie was angry. In fact, Eddie was very angry. With his host long dead, it would only be so long until he himself kicked the bucket too. The only possible way he could think of to cure this was to take another body as his host by force. But he knew that wasn't possible anymore, what with him getting suspiciously nerfed by unseen powers. Eddie: "DAMNIT ALL, WHAT CAN I DO TO KEEP THIS DAMN BODY ALIVE...." It was at this point, Eddie noticed a rather adrogynous lad walking in front of him. Eddie: "YOU THERE..... WHAT THINGS DO THESE HUMANOID BODIES BECOME..... "PUMPED" ON?" Now, Bridget is kind of a shy boy, and is easily scared, so it took a few moments of screaming in terror for him to see that Eddie was, in fact, really weak at the moment. Afterwards, he responded... Bridget: "Well sir, someone of your stature would probably interested in that... rock music." Eddie: "ROCK..... MUSIC...?" Bridget: "Yes! I occasionally listen to it, for all that I spend more time with my friends than doing it..." Eddie: "....SHOW ME THIS.... ROCK... MUSIC..." Bridget: "Um, okay..... this group is a wee bit obscure, but I'm sure you'll like it." At this point, Bridget handed our demonic beast a stereo and a CD labeled under a very familiar band name.... The reaction to this CD was legendary. Some say it changed the very course of history in that world.... ~ Back at the present ~ It was just a normal practice session for BITGOYSWB. They jammed, people cheered, Seifer plotted their demise, etc; But.. then something weird happened. Something said to have been bizarre and insane, even by the standards of the DLverse. You see, this big black darkness just came out of nowhere. So deep, so black, so eveloping, nobody understood what it was. Then..... -they- appeared. Thursday: "WHAT BUSINESS DO YOU HAVE INTERRUPTING OUR BAND SESSION?" Eddie: "HMHMHM..... SO YOU ARE THE SO CALLED "LEGENDARY" BAND. MY NAME IS EDDIE, AND WE ARE...." From that point, the enigmatic Eddie had his robotic looking assistant create a hologram, displaying their status. It read... EDDIE ROBO KY VOLDO BILLY KANE HUITZIL SLAYER IN THE HANDSOME QUANTAM MALLARD DERIVATIVE Shigeo: "..... OH MY GOD. IT CAN'T BE...." Fujin: "IMPOSSIBLE" But it was true. The band known throughout the multiverse as the biggest rising star ever, the greatest of all newbies, one who dwarfed all. The THQMD has indeed appeared before BITGOYSWB. Eddie: "AHAHAHA..... SHOCKED, ARE YOU? WE HAVE HEARD SUCH GREAT THINGS ABOUT YOU FROM OUR MANAGER, WHICH INTRIGUES US...." Zoah: "WHAT DO YOU WANT, PRETTYBOY?" Eddie: "SIMPLE. A BATTLE. OF THE BANDS..." Thursday: "EXPLAIN YOURSELF. WHY SUCH A BATTLE?" Eddie: "WE ARE RESTLESS.... WE DESIRE TO FACE A BAND EQUAL TO US... WE HAVE BEEN UNABLE TO CRAVE OUR DESIRE TO LET LOOSE OUR CREATIVITY, AND NOW IS THE CHANCE. WE WILL FACE YOU IN ONE WEEKS TIME, AT THIS VERY DESERT. BRING ALL OF YOUR SKILL, WORTHY ONES." And with that, THQMD disappeared as suddenly as they appeared. Fujin: "RAGE" As one can see, this is not a good situation. With their manager, Karin Kanzuki, they can spot all the best equipment they need for their band. They also have a rather large backlog of friends to fall back on, with great guest singers and actors in general. Obviously, things do not look good for our heroes. ~ 3 days later ~ Zoah: "DAMN EUROCORP. WHY DID THEY NOT TELL US ABOUT THIS CRAP EARLIER?" Thursday: "ACCORDING TO MY CALCULATIONS, THEY SEEM TO HAVE STUDIED MANY DIFFERENT ABILITIES AND STYLES. EXPECT ANYTHING." Fujin:"ANGER." Poor Fujin was especially upset. Raijin was out cold on the floor, being dragged by her everywhere today. It was then that a knock on the door happened. Fujin opened it and noticed a child staring at her. Bridget: "Ummm... I'm sorry for how my band was acting a few days ago." Shigeo: "HMM? DO YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THEM, LITTLE GIRL?" Bridget: "[....little girl?] U-um... yes. I travel with them. My name is Bridget." Zoah: "YOU SEEM DECENT ENOUGH. BUT TELL US, WHY DID HE CHALLENGE US SO?" Bridget: "Well.... see, Eddie's body is dead, and the only way it can stay in this world is by rocking out. You know, losing himself in the music, the passion, the pure energy of it all." Thursday: "INTERESTING PREDICAMENT, I MUST SAY." Bridget: "Well... it's a good thing. It's a lot healthier than trying to consume other hosts. And he has made very good friends. I'm happy for him, and I want to make sure he stays healthy. But...." Zoah: "HM?" Bridget: "Well, he's been losing passion in his work. He feels that he is reaching his limits as a singer, and that his band is losing its flair. He has defeated all other bands in our realm. He wants a challenge. Something to keep him going. And then he remembered the very first band he ever listened to...." Shigeo: ".....WAS IT US?" Bridget: "Yes. I introduced it to him then, and his reaction... filled him with the power to start doing it himself. WHen I first met him, he was almost nothing. Now, he is truly a great man, if a little eccentric about his actions. So please, respect his wish, and face him with all of your might!" Shigeo: "YOUR WORDS INSPIRE US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME, LITTLE MISS. NOW PLEASE, LEAVE SO THAT WE MAY PRACTICE FOR THE BIG EVENT." Bridget: "[....why does everyone assume I'm a girl, anyways...] O-Okay! See you all 4 days from now!" And with that, Bridget left them to do their own thing. ~ The Battle of the Bands has begun ~ And so, ladies and gentlemen, the match now starts.
