Season 3, Week 2
Ramirez
(Skies of Arcadia)

Ramirez, while outnumbered, is not outgunned in this battle. While Melfice has great stat boosting on his side, Ramirez's Destruction spell deals damage and cancels those precious stat boosts, which is a win-win deal for Ramirez if his opponent continues to cast them. Ramirez's Lunar Blessing spell gives him healing through constant regen, which his opponent has no way of dispelling. With his deadly Silver Tundra attack for obscene damage against just Melfice, or his Silver Eclipse to do major damage to all parts Melfice, Ramirez is surely not lacking on the offensive. Ramirez's only weak point in this battle is that his speed, while good, isn't on par with Melfice's, but other than that, Ramirez counters his foe nearly perfectly.

Valmar reigns supreme, in the RPGDL this week. Melfice takes a very different approach to fighting than the wings. Melfice, unlike Millenia, has defense and speed to spare, and he can boost both at will. He has healing from his regenrator to fall back on, and of course, Wailing Soul Slash to rip his opponent apart with. He's equipped to take out the likes of Rameriz, who is far better against PC's than a fellow boss like Melfice.

Melfice and Rameriz were very evenly matched foes. For several turns, the bosses traded Tundra and Wailing Soul Slash attacks, with it Melfice easily gaining the upper hand. Rameriz had to act fast, if he wanted to win.

"Hmpf. You're a decent fighter, Melfice, but the Nightmare consumes all.. Silver Nightmare!"

Melfice was encroached in what seemed like unending darkness. The darkness was telling him to kill...kill.... And with a slight effort, Melfice shrugged off Rameriz's best attack.

"Fool. For one who has raised arms against his brother, and had his love die on his blade.. your pathetic nightmare is merely a day's work for me!"

Melfice's final Wailing Soul Slash was accompanied by the sound of jagged chuckling.
